What Students Say

Likes

The campus is very large and amazing. It is not green but you can see a lot of dry lands
The students are also very good and you can see different diversities in this campus
The sky and the rain at 2 very much attractive things in this campus

Dislikes

The faculties are of average standard and the administration is also not that good
Field work exposure is also not given as much as we want
Proper guidance and support and also placement is not given

Social work is a course which is having great relevance and nowadays people are selecting this course for shifting to foreign countries. This course is a great opportunity for people wants to migrate to outside countries. And here there is three specialisations named HR,SD and medical and psychiatry

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 16780 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

In this course we are giving fees in each semester. In old semester we have to give 9550 and in even semester we have to give 7230. There is number of scholarships for different people in different categories some are like egrantz, post matric etc

Campus Life

The infrastructure and classrooms are above average and there is ac in classrooms. And some departments are also providing Wi-Fi and in hostel also Wi-Fi is available for post graduate students and PhD scholars. In library also the infrastructure and facilities is good and there is also providing free internet connection

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is separate for different sector students. For PG in one room 3 persons are accommodating and in UG there are Bunker beds accommodating 6 persons in one room. Fossil fee is also according to how many days you are staying there,ie, per day around 100

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

The admission process was completely online and I got admission because I was OBC student and also I contacted them personally. In our best the cutoff was around 150 in CUET and I think it has increased now.

Faculty

All of faculties are having PHD and also we have 5 to 6 PhD scholars in our department. The support and guidance from faculties we cannot expect that much we have to ask them for. But anyway there having good knowledge so better we should know to utilise them

Course Curriculum Overview:

iam sure this is only the couse that we can work with communities and social worker serve the people with humbleness. it learns to how to mingle with society, how to face the society and how to take challenges in positive way. improvement areas are field works, some students are not attend field work properly faculty has check with organization heads or HOD. Everything is good if students learn for exam. no difficulties in any exams.

The curriculum will help me good but the thing is iam doing in masters in social work dept it means theory should 50percent then practice knowledge should be 50percent but the thing is heare we sare not getting any field workonly for5days Camp in the 1styear rather than that we didn't getting any field work from the department.Actually I took these course is I need practice based paper so I need to involve with the people with involvement I can learn from them what are the problems are facing by them actually I need I really like to study about people's problems but here we are not getting any field exposure to learn.My suggestion is for department they should conduct a field work in week atleast 2days should be their for field work pratice department should take the students.They should follow strictly on the syllabus becouse as per syllabus department should provide us field work in some places mentioned in the syllabus.ThenI asked to teacher then he replied to me you know kannada

Unlocking the Real World: CUK

Course Curriculum Overview:

Some papers need to be updated and should include topic related to current issues and more discussions are need to be conducted in the classroom that improves the critical thinking of the students. For Social Work course field exposure is very relevant and important to increase the knowledge of the trainee. But the department is not providing any field exposure to the trainees according to their specializations. The only field experience students are getting from the one month block placement/ internship, but that is not enough for the students.

Tour of CU in the field of MSW

Placement Experience:

From the third semester, the students become eligible for campus selection and students are given support from the faculty members to join certain NGOs to work with. This makes the students develop their skills and learn new things by working with them. Students often end up working with these NGOs after finding the experience with them as productive. But Christ doesn't have many placements for the MSW course.

It's one of the good university in India

Remarks:

The university atmosphere is very nice and tge The university atmosphere is very nice and the and the Structure of the university is really awesome. The March and April time weather is not that much good, very hot around a 45° celsius hot. The administrative section Is not properly working.
