Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

My course is bsc food technology. They have main paper as food technology. The rest of the subjects to be covered throughout are: Physics Chemistry Maths IT English (A01, A02, A03, A04) Hindi/Sanskrit/ Malayalam (mother tongue) Physics and chemistry will be there for 2/3 years (1st and 2nd year) and maths and IT for 1/3 (second year). Language and literature will be only there in the 1st year. Comparatively the course is easier than other bachelor degree courses and has high scope. The exam come in the order 1st internal and then 1st sem exam. The 1st sem exam comes around October/November. 2nd semester comes around February/March. And the summer vacation of 2 months will start. The faculty will provide everything that you need to score good marks in the sem exams. PDFs, power point presentation, question banks and etc.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Internship opportunities are not that great unless it's for a course like bcom. Other courses does have internships but the package will be as less as 10k. I would recommend that you do masters before landing a job.

Placement Experience

3

There campus placement for only a few courses. Courses like bcom and bca are the most common ones. For other bsc courses you can get internships but not placements. The intership package will be very less so don't have high hopes. The packages for bca and bcom will be around 80k and 1.5 lakhs. This will depend on your overall degree percentage. For those who don't have campus placement you'll have to do masters to land a good package placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

It is different for management and merit seats. Fees for management seats will start from around 1 lakh and can go upto 5 lakhs or more. This fees will vary according to your course. Merit seats will only have to pay less quater of the management fees. There are scholarships and e grans for SC and ST.

Campus Life

5

Christ is a diverse college with students and teachers from all over the country. Inter district students are more. Lovely campus and beautiful infrastructures. The campus is very huge and have lots of experience and explore. They have labs, two garden areas, Ground, Quite big canteen, lots of trees and animals. The atmosphere is so good that you'll love it there. They also have a great library. Sports quota are available for sports students. There are many clubs that one can join and also politics.

Admission

The admission process is pretty easy. You can apply at the official website of Christ college irinjalakuda. There will be a pop up of take admission when you open the website. But also be sure because management seats will get filled before you know it. Merit seats are also not easy to get if you get waitlisted more than 40 your chances are slim.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is very helpful and they are all very well qualified. Most of them have done PhDs and Highly educated. Around 1/4 of the faculty are the students who have passed out from Christ itself. This makes the teachers understand the students more. The faculty makes the college experience easier for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
