Course Curriculum Overview
The college teaches you the traditional way to work in a five star hotel.. Also giving you information about all the current trends in the industry. The college makes sure to polish a student so much to survive in the hospitality industry and get ahead of people around them by having more knowledge in the same feild. The curriculum is from the NCHM but the students have to appear ignou/jnu as that's where the degree comes from.
Internships Opportunities
2nd year is the internship and students are in the hotel for 4 months.. Each month in a core department of the hotel that is food production, food and beverage service, housekeeping, front office.. And during the internship the student have to note down their learnings and present it to the panel of judges and score accordingly. The stipend lies between 1500 to 5000 per month.
Placement Experience
After the 4th semester the campus placements start. The companies like Taj(IHCL), OBEROIS, ITC, Accor, Radissons, Sofitel, hyatt, Hilton, Marriott international, rtz carlton have interviews for the management trainee in the college even fast food chains like Macdonalds and domino's approach the college for the same. My plans after my degree are to get management trainee or get an opportunity to work in an international hotel so as to move abroad
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are taken per semester and it's between 50 to 60 thousand per semester. There will be no additional cost after that from the college point of view. During the training in 2nd year.. The trainee can get a stipend between 1500 to 5000 per month depending on what hotel they choose to train in. Campus interviews can get u jobs/management training of 15000 to 30000 per month depending on the position and Hotel.
Campus Life
The festivals like GANPATI, diwali, navratri, onam, are celebrated in the college very enthusiasticly.. There is freshers and farewell parties as well. The main festival of the college is the cornucopia.. Its the college fest and the biggest fest in Dadar. All the students participate in and during the fest preparations along with the teachers.. Its always fun. Sports is not much in the college tho.. Apart from chess, some badminton, and volleyball competitions.. The sports committee is the newest formed committee and is making sure the college is involved in more sports activities..
Admission
You have to apply for NCHM JEE and score atleast in the top 800 to have the college as a general category person... There are reservations available on casts and minority though, also they have a fees concession for the people with NPL. There is one unit test every semester and one final exam. And there are 6 semesters in total. The admission process is quite easy.
Faculty
You can talk to the faculty anytime during the lectures and clear ur doubts. The lectures are always interactive and fun. The faculty is great at Creating jokes and having fun. All the staff working there is fun loving and qualified to be in the position they are. Even u can personally clarify it from the faculty during the college hours. Even tho the student is to teacher ratio is 90:1 all the teachers are capable of looking after each and every student in the class at the given point of time
