That we can cook and do whatever you want ....they treat us as adults
There is freedom in the College there is no specific restrictions ....I feel itsbest as you get the freedom as adult
College professors are cool and they treat you as adults

Dislikes

There is a smoking area which sometimes irritates.asaur quality is disturbed and it's pollutes whole area and ciggerate butt are not removed n kept the way they are
Comparative less cleanliness in the mess kitchen
There are less holidays as it works on central government

Course Curriculum Overview

When I was small I used to like cooking and alway wanted to serve in the hospitality and curriculum is easy and appropriate which will help us in the future.There are some improvements in which they don't allow medical certificate or anything,which needs to be improved

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 63100 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

It's mid range course usually in government colleges the fees starts from around 4-5 lakhs for whole course and If hostel are taken then it can go upto 12 lakhs but in private colleges it goes upto around 12-15 lakhs for the whole degree

Campus Life

It's a nice place near the shore but there are some restrictions which irritates some time and they provide many sports events n cultural events but overall it's a small campus which includes hostel plus classes n staff residents

Admission

It's bsc course for which you will need to have a qualification of 10+2 and minimum percentage of 60% and there is entrance exam in which you need to have atleast AIR500 and below and the application was online on the official website

Faculty

The ratio for students are not good I think coz for almost 50-60 Students are there for a practicular class and teacher is 1. I think the ratio is not fair enough as they lack of personal attention but I think staff is approachable as most of ihm faculty is most of ihm Mumbai it self.... it's best...as they can relate n help us and they participate in every activity and help us grow as well as they are available for most of the times and reply to our question with passion...exams are less ..every easyy it's based on basic things and most exams are based on knowledge that we learnt in our practical classes which help us to understand and can be easily explained in every form and some exams are based on MCQ question which makes exam even more easy ....for practicals and external are from various 5 star hotels and which helps us build our confidence and there knowledge as they got better work experience and worked in hotel industry for years

Night Life

Ihm Mumbai is situated at the heart of the city which is Dadar..... Dadar is very accessible as dadar chowtpaty is half a kilometre where as marine drive is 10 km from institute...sooo most of the time is spend at the hotel as there is inhouse hostel n timings for hostels are around 5:00-10:30 pm and entry after 10:30 is restricted

I joined this college as it was in the top 5 list of hospitality colleges in India . I am currently in ihm Mumbai, I wanted to get in pusa but I couldn't as I belong to general cast . Even though there were alot of seats empty in pusa but they all went to waste as they were reserved seats . IHM Mumbai - one of the best colleges to launch your dream of being a hospitality professional!

The admission to anu IHM in the country is on the basis of entrance exam called the NCHMCT-JEE (National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology - Joint Entrance Exam) The admission is on the merit basis and all the rules of reservation apply here too. Eligibility criteria for IHM Mumbai are 50% marks in 12th class where English should be one of the subjects. Since you didn't get the hostel in the first year so the expenses for living will be very high as sky touching. The pg will take upto 13000per month for six sharing plus deposits and other charges. So i suggest you to take flat in sharing. Also for the night you have to arrange your dinner from yourself and morning breakfast also.
