Course Curriculum Overview

I am a political science honous student and my experience with the course is very good, as per my expectations. The staff is also good and teaching is in an interactive way. The exams are held in semester basis which according to me is a good way to make students interact with new subjects and topics in each sem and reducing the burden of doing everything at once.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 8100 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of education is reliable, my course and college charges like Rs. 8100 per year which is a very decent amount in my opinion but compartively the facilities provided are also not so good and the cost of living in Delhi is much higher for outstation students for which college should do something helpful. But overall it is affordable and good.

Campus Life

Fests occur during many festivals like Diwali, annual fest season of DU, flower festival, etc. The library of my college is not so good as the adequate number of books of my course are not available. No internet connection in my college. Sports, nss and ncc are good and all the societies are also doing well.

Admission

I took admission on the basis of my 12th percentage and cutoffs. The eligibility for B.A hons. (Political Science) is passing from 12th grade in humanities. The cutoffs rounds occurred and we can seek admission on that basis. All the information is available on the college website of Delhi University. The fees is affordable for the course. I am from general category so didn't availed any reservation. The exams occur on semester basis which is a good system that reduce burden and increase efficiency.

The strength of students is very large whereas classes are congested. This makes it challenging for students to receive personalized attention from professors. However, it offers a rich academic environment and diverse courses with renowed faculty who are experienced and experts in their fields. Delhi University offers students valuable opportunities for mentorship and guidance.

Truth About Hidden IPCW (DU)

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option
