Likes

Faculties are very much dedicated and determined. Teaching methods are really good. Campus is good. We will get chance to interact
Department and hostel. Medical facilities and canteen were average. Open jim facilities are available. Electric van and bus transportation
Library is available. Comparing to other universities it is situated in a rural area.

Dislikes

Medical facilities and canteen facilities should be improved. The mess food is a problem and needs a change.
They can arrange more extra curricular activities for the development of the students
Increasing the time of library accessibility

Course Curriculum Overview

This course will provide field works compared to other subjects. We will get a chance to interfere with the people and society. Social work is not only a profession. It is also a service towards the society. Now the academic curriculum is upgrading. The curriculum needs to include more technology related areas. Examination will be held according to the academic calender

Class Size: 38Course Fees: INR 19500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Comparing to other universities the fees are somewhat average or low. Including everything like hostel, mess, tuition fee we need 1,80,000 rupees to complete master of social work. Central sector scholarship various NSP scholarship are available. The placements are less but increasing year by year.

Campus Life

From February to April month there will be a celebration of Ankur festival. It is the main festival held in university. Arts and sports competition will be there for both students and faculties. Library is good. Classrooms facilities are good. Extracurricular activities should be increased.

Hostel Facilities

There are 5 hostels for girls and 5 for boys. Total 10 hostels are there in campus itself. We should stay in university hostel because there is no hostel facilities outside the university. Food is okay but not that much good. They are trying to improve the taste and quality of food. There is no challenge for the registration for hostel. There is 4 students in one room. They provide one chair, table, cupboard, bed.

Hostel Fee: INR 45000 per year

Admission

You need 50% and above marks in undergraduate course for the general category. For sc/st there is 5% relaxation. Writing CUET exam and according to it's score you will get admission. Check the CUET exam time.. Mainly comes between march and may. If you tried for the exam you can crack the exam. CUET exam have one complication that is after knowing the result we need to apply different universities according to the score.

Faculty

In my department there are 8 faculties are available for the one batch of ug, pg first year and for pg second years and for PhD scholars. Around 90 students in my department. Teachers are really dedicated and determined. Supports for the future. They are providing extra classes for the NET/JRF preparation. Most of the teachers are approachable for any queries related to the studies and career

Course Curriculum Overview:

iam sure this is only the couse that we can work with communities and social worker serve the people with humbleness. it learns to how to mingle with society, how to face the society and how to take challenges in positive way. improvement areas are field works, some students are not attend field work properly faculty has check with organization heads or HOD. Everything is good if students learn for exam. no difficulties in any exams.

The curriculum will help me good but the thing is iam doing in masters in social work dept it means theory should 50percent then practice knowledge should be 50percent but the thing is heare we sare not getting any field workonly for5days Camp in the 1styear rather than that we didn't getting any field work from the department.Actually I took these course is I need practice based paper so I need to involve with the people with involvement I can learn from them what are the problems are facing by them actually I need I really like to study about people's problems but here we are not getting any field exposure to learn.My suggestion is for department they should conduct a field work in week atleast 2days should be their for field work pratice department should take the students.They should follow strictly on the syllabus becouse as per syllabus department should provide us field work in some places mentioned in the syllabus.ThenI asked to teacher then he replied to me you know kannada

Unlocking the Real World: CUK

Course Curriculum Overview:

Some papers need to be updated and should include topic related to current issues and more discussions are need to be conducted in the classroom that improves the critical thinking of the students. For Social Work course field exposure is very relevant and important to increase the knowledge of the trainee. But the department is not providing any field exposure to the trainees according to their specializations. The only field experience students are getting from the one month block placement/ internship, but that is not enough for the students.

Tour of CU in the field of MSW

Placement Experience:

From the third semester, the students become eligible for campus selection and students are given support from the faculty members to join certain NGOs to work with. This makes the students develop their skills and learn new things by working with them. Students often end up working with these NGOs after finding the experience with them as productive. But Christ doesn't have many placements for the MSW course.

It's one of the good university in India

Remarks:

The university atmosphere is very nice and tge The university atmosphere is very nice and the and the Structure of the university is really awesome. The March and April time weather is not that much good, very hot around a 45° celsius hot. The administrative section Is not properly working.
