Likes

In Delhi University you get the opportunity to engage with people from different background, region and state.And it feels when I talk to them,I get to know about their culture and Tradition and that's helps in national integration which is good.
I also like getting education in co-education after 7 years as I was in residential school for boys only.it is good for me to study with them.we exchange thoughts and ideas and move forward in life.
I like different quiz,debate and essay competition in which I can show my communication skills and over-all development.by joining societies you can improve on yourself.

Dislikes

I don't like the holliganism of people connected with political affiliation.i think students should engage in healthy competition which help in nation building and growth of individual.
I miss football grounds and volleyball courts in my college as there is no facility for sports.
I also don't like the tendancy to ignore the problems faced by students by authorities.In true sense they must work for the welfare of students.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course I am pursuing is BA in history and political science.i have history as my major subject and pol science assignment minor. Its a very interesting subject because you get into the depth of history not just about dates and facts but societies, economic conditions and administration etc. Exam level is moderate to tough as you have to write much by giving conditions of surrounding of that time.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 11730 per year

Internships Opportunities

There is a career and internship cell in college which help in providing internship for students of required skills . There is job fair organized annually for opportunities related to jobs. Students are asked to show their skills In different projects assigned to them and in this way they got paid and also get experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

During enrollment I paid 11730 to my collage as my first year fee.apart from that you have to fill examination form every semester and it charges more than 1000 rupees.15000 is the complete course fee I can say . There are some facilities regarding scholarship for meritorious and economically weak students.

Campus Life

My college annual day held at may in which I got certificate of merit for my participation in extra curricular activities. Library is full of books of knowledge and fiction but there is lack in the books of current time. We have one ground in which cricket tournament, kabaddi tournament held and one in a year athletics event also got organised for students. There are facilities regards joining societies of different background like arts, singing, dancing and debating. You can also join NCC & NSS

Admission

You have to appear in domains subjects, English and general subjects.you can give additional paper for vivid choices during course selection. You can register at CSAS portal of DU for registration and subsequent information. Reservation benefits for EWS/OBC/SC/ST people. Exam occured at each semester after 5-6 months. My suggestion would be that students should have the chance to raise their doubts directly to college administration.

Faculty

Faculty members of core subjects are well qualified and holds great qualification from reputed university.but there is lack of teaching style among additional subjects faculty. They must have the idea how to teach in a effective manner .

I opted for BSc in CS as I had PCM+CS in 12th but merit was high for this course that's why I couldn't get this course in DU.i got BA in history and political science in which I have more interest.

Truth About Hidden IPCW (DU)

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option
