Likes

The campus is definitely huge and great for hanging out after classes.
The buildings are huge and massive, spacious classes, makes it comfortable to study.
The canteen offers affordable food which is delicious.

Dislikes

Less shade area to beat the summer heat.
The professors are not much of great help.
The evening library has limited books to lend.

Course Curriculum Overview

I always wanted to pursue my degree in political science so without any hesitation I've opted for it. The faulty is the best for political science course in the South delhi campus. The questions are set from the university so the it's a bit tough yet all the important aspects are brought up for knowledge.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 7100 per year

Internships Opportunities

In the arts department, there aren't any internships provided. Although one can search online and apply for any field they like. No other curricular activities are held other that those held by the societies.

Fees and Financial Aid

?7000 is the average course fees per year. There are other charges for library and examinations. There are barely any scholarship facilities. It is quite affordable as compared to other colleges. Although some students still find it less worth.

Campus Life

4.5

There are huge amount of activities held throughout each year. You can join various societies of the college and enhance your skills accordingly. The library could have been better and could have had more books. Various sports are also entertained with respective coaches.

Admission

Admission was entirely offline. Students had to first apply online and pay for the forms. Once the cut offs are out, students are required to visit the college im which they are eligible and go through 5-6 steps for admission. It's a bit difficult and hectic as it takes an entire afternoon for securing a seat. As per the government rules, reservations are provided.

Faculty

The faulty is less as compared to the number of students they take in. The professor although being highly educated, they only teach in Hindi which makes it quite difficult for English medium students as well as for those from the North Eastern states. The professors are friendly yet lot of inside politics are carried out.

Dyal Singh College is splendid!

Placement Experience:

Dyal Singh Placements aren't that hefty that I can boast a lot about them. Since I have already mentioned in previous section that I want the deepest knowledge of political science and the only way, one can gain that is by doing masters. Coming to DSC placements over 30% students of Political Science from our college are placed via campus.

Placement Experience:

Media people as Hindi Hons students obviously have chane there or researches. Some even pursue freelance things as college provides the perfect platform to gain confidence and showcase the skills. Otherwise research or political expert roles are the only roles offered to Hindi Hons students. Since I want a complete command I will be doing masters in Hindi Hons.

DSC is a decent college!

Placement Experience:

DSC placements are not that great as around 30-40% students are placed and that is how it is here. Most students of Political Science go for higher studies or get job opportunities in political consultancy or journalism.

For placements, there's not much on campus placement programs. Our placement cells are active though. Time to time they keep us posted about the upcoming internship or job opportunities and even invite various organisations for placements. You can even look for off campus placement programs and teachers are very helpful in this. They even offer letter of recommendation for the internship opportunities upon request.

Gargi : A home to a stranger

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love the course I have opted for in the College. I had so much interest in literature since I was in school, hence made the decision to opt for English Honours in my undergraduate degree. The curriculum of this particular course is easy to get, teaches practical knowledge. We have Internal Assesment and Continuous Assessment before theory exams. In continuous assessment, we are given some topic to make presentation or a group discussion from our sense of knowledge and experience. Speaking up in a crowd and in front of the whole class gives the practical knowledge of being there, present, confidence and speak up your thoughts I would love if we can also watch theatre within the curriculum as we read various plays but watching and analysing them would be great. Mostly the exams are held in December and May, they are moderate level of examination and I have found absolute no difficulty sitting in them and writing. We get 3 hours for the core subjects, and 1 hour for our respective VACs, SECs and AECs.

In CUET, I have less marks but I preferred more college but firstly I get PGDAV college but I don't like that college so I choose Motilal Nehru college.
