Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is somewhat not that good. They shouldn't try to finish portions soo fastly. We cannot follow sometimes. Exams are conducted properly with strict volunteering. Less time for relaxation is available. That may be increased to decrease the load of students.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships are provided by the college offline and online. Companies like techmaghi, tiltedu etc are conducteing internships. We can ask faculty for completing projects. Project based on app development, web development are done.

Placement Experience

Placement is quite good. Many large companies visit the collge including Infosys, IBM, TCS, TVS, WIPRO etc. college provides placement assistance from S5 onwards. Near 50% of students are getting placed in various companies. My plan is to work in Infosys after completing b tech and then to start a startup.

Fees and Financial Aid

College os providing scholarship for those students who scored morethan 90% marks in the higher secondary examination. Also there is a condition that they shouldn't get any supply throughout the curriculum. Egrants are available for SC, ST, OEC students.

Campus Life

Overall infrastructure is average compared to other large colleges. But the infrastructure is somewhat vintage. A peace atmosphere is there in the campus because it is not soo near the main road. Clubs are there and NSS unit is one of the best unit in the country. College also have IEEE. Sports like cricket, football,volleyball, basketball, badminton, kabbadi is also there.

Hostel Facilities

Fans are available. 3 members per room. Each room has 3 table, 3 cot and 3 cupboard. Light is available. Food is only vegetarian. No non veg is available. Morning and evening tea is available. Evening snacks are also available. If rented food maybe good. But by hostel all can discuss and study.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

Eligibility is that you should pass the keam examination. Cut off was near 30000 for oec reservation. 40000 for sc and 35000 for general. Procedure of admission was good. No confusion occurred. All volunteers done the procedures good.

Faculty

There are enough faculty in the campus. Most of them are dr's holding phd holders. All the faculties are free to talk and ask doubts. They are available anytime. They provide study materials correctly, whicha are made by themselvesm. They conduct test papers on time.

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

The length of course curriculum is very short. It is very difficult for both students and teachers to complete the syllabus in limited time period.The exam timing are also very conjusted and students are facing many difficulties because of it .

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

An Emerging student rising from a million opportunity

I applied to MITS, Fisat, and Rajagiri and Adi Shankara Institute of engineering and technology. These were the top 3 collages in my area in the field of CSE. I only got confirmation from Adi Shankara Institute of engineering and technology. Yes i did get rejection from other collages due to my low keam scores. The Experience of Teenager to an adult

Inorder to get admission for engineering course you must have atleast 10 marks for keam entrance exam.(if you are a nri student,the cutoff doesn't really matter). The admission process was nice.
