Course Curriculum Overview

4

Well the curriculum aligns with my area of interest in the field of computer science and engineering. The curriculum and internship and the exposure prepares me for the real-world and the jobs I'm gonna deal with. It helped me understand how it works and the way things are. Well much more exposure to the industry is a much needed area of improvement. Placements must be brought available more quickly and early. Frequency and timings of the exams are considerably ok for me personally.

Internships Opportunities

5

Tiltedu offered game development internship where we made fps games from scratch using Unity. We also took part in a machine learning Intership which was a learning experience by FaceIn pvt ltd. An android app development intership by tech maghi provide insight into the android development during the first year. Some of the projects include an fps game and android app java based.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are just arriving but late compared to other collages. From 3rd year onwards students are eligible for placements. Centelon, vanenburg, UST, tcs, mu Sigma, mitsogo, tech Mahindra are the company that visited. So far i haven't recieved any offers yet. So far I can only say 20% of the total students were placed. If not placement offer is received after the degree, i plan to pursue further studies possibly masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise 200000 including bus fare which is 29000. Tuition Fees: Approximately ?168000 per semester. Caution Deposit: A one-time refundable deposit, typically around ?10,000 Registration fee: 1000 Lab fees : 5000 Placement fees: 5000 Merit: 20000-80000 Merit cum needs scholarship: 25000 to eligible students

Campus Life

5

Brahma national tech event usually conducted in February to march time period. Ashwanedha mostly in odd semesters. Arts fest, sports fest, christmas and onam celebration are the other fest thats celebreted. Almost every necessary books and journals are available in the library with the rest available using the collage id in ieee xtreme. The classroom has projector for visual presentation. Necessary fans and ventilation for comfortable seating and studying.

Admission

I applied to MITS, Fisat, and Rajagiri and Adi Shankara Institute of engineering and technology. These were the top 3 collages in my area in the field of CSE. I only got confirmation from Adi Shankara Institute of engineering and technology. Yes i did get rejection from other collages due to my low keam scores. Admission process is simple with keam having priority. Rest of the seats are reserved for management and NRI. I accepted cse exams and curriculum. Over all admission process is quick and satisfactory.

Faculty

4

Faculty and students are pretty straightforward and friendly given that a discipline is maintained. I personally liked Revathy miss and Nikhil sir I can't say the name of the faculty i didn't like. Exams are pretty doable with the right amount of preperation. There are 8 semester exams and inbetween 2 internal exams for each semester.

Night Life

2

The collage has gym, but since I'm a day scholar I'm unable to utilise the facility. Cafeteria and library are closed after 6 and not available in the night. Hosteler must get back to their room before 9pm. There isn't any pretty hangout spots at night that I'm aware of.

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
