Likes

i like the fact that my college has an anti ragging cell
The college offers you a good campus life
The teachers are really helpful,they help whenever in need

Dislikes

The campus is strictly vegetarian, if they could bring a bit of non veg it would be better for the students
The college does not have its own ground for sports activities, it shares it with the nearby college
The classroom facilities are not up to the mark,they could give it an upgrade

Course Curriculum Overview

Computer science is a field i really like, and it has been like that so many years ago, so to study into the core of this subject is really helpful for me, I always wanted to become a software engineer and by pursuing this i am well and truly hopeful of reaching there

Internships Opportunities

The college offers you quite a good amount of scholarships. Tiltedu and Techmaggi offers you with quite a lot of online internships. By attending these we can improve our skills,we can learn new things about the course we are currently pursuing and it helps us to be good working professional in the future.

Placement Experience

My college offers an average level of placements. It isnt the best, but the companies offer you a good amount as your first salary, and the average package you get is about 6 lakhs per annum. TCS, Wipro, Cognizant are some of the companies that offer most students their placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Different students have different fee structures, it is like that because the fee could go down based on your previous years results, if you have a good amount of marks in your 12th grade, there are certain scholarships provided by the college so that it goes down. There are no tution fees for students who belong to SC/ST,OEC etc as it is paid by the government.

Campus Life

This college has given me immense pleasure as a student. I am really happy to be a part of this college. I found soo many good friends, all of them are really hardworking also pushing me to my limits, the teachers are also really helpful, they help you whenever you need them, they support you so much on your studies

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is decent to live in,The facilities offered here are decent enough. The only problem is that the food here is only vegetarian and we all would like to have a change on that, bringing a bit of non vegetarian food would make it very well for us. It is like this because the college is strictly vegetarian

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

I came to this college twice due to getting alloted in this college , and both the times the staff were so helpful, they were all set to invite each and every student who arrived there for the admission process. The admission process went really smooth and just within 30 minutes my admission process was done

Faculty

The faculty of this college has been really helpful from day one, they help you in any matter, they are really cheerful and also highly educated. Most of the faculty of my college have acquired Ph.D, therefore making them highly educated. Due to this reason they can clear any doubts asked by us.

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

I choose btech cse cause it was the trending course at that time and I was computer science student in my high school so it was best for me to choose btech cse at that time. And I believe it cold be a great career choice

This college is not what it seems in the first look.

Likes

College was at a beautiful place. It was not a city but a beautiful place.
Hostel was great. I got many friends from there.
These are the only things that I can think of.

Dislikes

Teachers, they are horrible one one teacher named aparna was professional and ethical. My HOD was the worst.
Principal is the worst. She does not hear students side. She is money minded. I had a fee pending for not more than 2 week. When I went to her for signing my medical report she demanded that she will sign only after I paid that fee
The college does not encourage extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Likes

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

We have a very good faculty family that is not only supportive but also loving.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Likes

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Programs and activities are good and the support
Good support for the sports and highly skill atheletes

Dislikes

Exams are conducted without a gap in between
There are a lot of assignment often for the students

Placement Experience:

After 6 th semester students become eligible for placements . It's in the final years . Many companies have visited the college and made offers for the students like Wipro,Tenzo tech , infopark etc Around 70 Percent students get placement

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Remarks:

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.

College admission is purely based on our entrance score and the way we given the priority of college to get admission in college of engineering thalassery qe should attend keam entrance exam otherwise you can get into the management seats which will costs 1lakh per year.
