Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Here the curriculum followed for my course is based on practical learning as the course requires the input of the student rather than teaching . The students have to get an understanding by themselves which cannot be taught .

Internships Opportunities

4

Accneture, Infosys, ust global, tata elxsi ,tcs etc and many more in engineering. For architecture companies like L&T, acc cement and others. The student has to perform well in the placement stages to get a good job.

Placement Experience

4.5

The college provides plenty of placements for the students as the college has years of experience. The highest package for placement in engineering is 36 LPA and average for architecture is 12 LPA. Almost 80 percent of students get placed every year,The rest pursue for higher studies. Students who pass out from the institution are given consideration due to its prestige.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since the college is governmental they have very less tuition fee. The fee is paid every semester and there is an extra examination fee which is to be given before every sem exam . Other than these extra expenses will only come for your study materials and hostel. If the student comes under any reservation he/she can avail a scholarship which covers the tution and hostel fees.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life here is very colorful and joyful . Students ar given enough freedom to dress and enjoy or walk around freely till night. No student is restricted and have the freedom to question whatever happens. There a lot of clubs nd activities which everyone can join and take part according to their interests. The college also has a large open ground and sports complex with a gym.

Hostel Facilities

3

The college has both mens and ladies hostel with a capacity of 750 students for ladies and 400 for mens. The ladies hostel has both 4 sharing and 5 sharing rooms. As for mens they have 2 sharing rooms. The hostel provides a variety menu with quality and taste just fine . The hostel is very affordable but the allotment is given priority to students with low income and larger distance. There are also pg's near to the college

Admission

To get admission in this college is quite hard as it is ranked no. 1 college in kerala for both architecture and engineering. To get an admission you have to clear the KEAM examination for engineering and NATA for architecture. The top ranking students can get seat here. To get an admission in engineering your rank should atleast come under 3000 in all Kerala level and also that varies according to the branch that you are applying for. For architecture your rank should come under 80.

Faculty

4

The teaching method here they follow is mainly classroom interactions but they also give a lot projects and assignments which brings the students inner capability to do a task. The teacher's are always ready to help related to anything we want. They sometimes follow a self study method where the students have to get a deep understanding of the topics by themselves.

Placement Experience:

As I'm a first year student I don't know much about placements but I think it starts by 8th sem for b arch students. Placements for barch are low compare to btech. But as this is a prestigious institution the best firms come here and there is a unit called CGPU for helping students regarding placements here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Im a passionate student architect. From childhood, I had this dream of becoming a creator. So I chose this course. There is a good ratio of faculty student ratio in the private colleges all over india. I'm not sure about the teaching method because this is more like a self learning course. But faculties are also helpful most of the time. Jury subjects are tougher than written examinations.

Remarks:

Ours is a National College. People from different background from different parts of india do come to study in college.I can't say that The Faculty in our College is too good. But they are quite okay. The faculties of the first year Maths are too poor. Most of them are ADHOC. Some Faculty treat the students as their own children, being liberal to them, while some at the same time just know how to teach, not to mingle with the students. Rest all branches dont have that much placement opportunity as compared to CSE. Positive 1.One of the biggest quality is the exposure that a student gets while studying in this college. The lectures are of high standards and the professors are of international demand. 2.An another good quality is the placement that we get from this college.people from across Kerala always praise the high quality of placements that we get in this college Negative 1.The lecture classes are very much one way, rather than being more interactive 2.Mosquito in some hostels
