Likes

The college was well known in trivandrum as a great one and for providing a good campus life and I have liked the campus.
The college has focused on skill and communication development apart from academics and has also initiated programs in coordination with IIT.
The labs are of good quality and the faculty are doing a great job.

Dislikes

The college has minimal ground space.This is a major drawback.
Apart from the playground issue I don't see any major drawback.
There is not a good playground for leisure.

Course Curriculum Overview

The world is fast growing and Artificial intelligence is a very rapidly expanding field. It is relatively a new branch going to complete it's four years. The course focuses on efficiency in handling computer languages and programming. Problem solving is a main part of skill development. Exams are conducted regularly and as per schedule and are moderate in terms of toughness.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 103000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know about previous years so I can't comment whether the fees have increased or not. But Since the college is not completely understand the government of Kerala the fees is relatively high. Ranging from 75000 to 103000 per year. A wide range of scholar.hips are available but I don't actually remember their names. I have not taken any campus employment therefore I am not able to comment on it.

Campus Life

Cult a Way is the official cultural fest of the college. It is a grand event which happens every year at Kanakakkunnn palace in trivandrum and lasts for three days. Many reknowned artists are invited to perform in it. Ankit tiwari had come to perform this year. Although limited space the college still offers great opportunity in sports and arts events.

Admission

Well the Fees was relatively high compared to other colleges. The entrance exam was mediocore in tough. I have got admission through KEAM entrance exam. The course of artificial intelligence and machine learning was a tough one to get. Since it had a huge demand among students.

Faculty

All faculities are well qualified. There is no question on that. The faculties who have teached me till date have done a great job. Although I have heard opinions from other branches about the faculties not paying enough attention to them and showing less sincerity to their work. I don't completely put the facilities as bad but there are some who don't care.

Other Applied Colleges

Government Engineering College - [GEC] Barton Hill | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electrical and Electronics Engineering)

After some searching I found that in the modern time Artificial intelligence would be a better course to learn as it is a very rapidly growing field. Barton hill college didn't have that course that is why I didn't choose it.

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.

Placement Experience:

From the semester 7 onwards the placement interview will begin.The company's like Infosys,Sutherland etc.But if we are doing externally that is also good.I'm planning on improving my skills first and then going abroad. The average package available would be 4 lakh per annum.

Experience as a first year student at NIT calicut

Placement Experience:

Here we recieve a really high number of offers this year it was around 970, The highest package received this year was 44.42 lpa and average was around 12 lpa Accenture, Bharat electronics limited are few of the top hirers, intel and nvidia also hire from here they are more relevant for ece students The percentage of students getting placed is 81% I will most probably try for a direct placement, I'm not thinking about higher studies(MTECH)after UG but that might change in the future

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

I choose this college because it has vibrant campus life and freedom.It also has good placement records,good pass percentage. I also took due to distance advantage.This college also has good faculty, teaching. Although the campus is small, the infrastructure is well maintained. It has well structured labs.I also looked for cet, Trivandrum but I didn't get it because of my keam rank. The exam accepted for the course is keam and most of the students prefer it. A look inside Sct - Campus life, Academics and more

The main reason I chose this college was because this as under the Government of Kerala. It is held jointly by both government and ksrtc. This the standard of teachers will be better than other private colleges and campus life would be better as well. I have gotten confirmed admission from Amritha University and FISAT. I chose Sct because of the above given reason and also because of its location in trivandrum. I had applied to both Cet and Gect but I didn't pass the cutoff.
