As someone who is doing bachelor of commerce hons with a specializarion in auditing and taxation I believe my course curriculum is very relevant and will prove to be very useful to me in the future in whatever I do.

The colleges has a lot of internship opportunities to find but it is mostly on the students to fijd their internships with their own skills and it hells them get real world experience and hone their skills.

Chandigarh university is well known for its emplyment opportunities. It nkt only helps various companoes come to the campus but also has programs that help studenta prepare for placements and guude them throughout.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is varying for all the courses however there's all sort of financial assistance provided including various types of scholarships. Before you enter the college you are to give a certain exam based on which you get scholarships. Other than that there's also merit based scholarships and many other.

Campus Life

I personally am not a part of a lot of clubs or not a social person in general but for those who are rhe college has a lot tonprovide in that area as there are various clubs you can join and a lot of activities are alawaya happening.

Admission

The admission process wasn't very hectic as I had to appear for an entrance exam which I cleared and received 10-15% scholarship based on that. The forms can easily be found on the offivial website when needed

Faculty

The faculty is very well verses on whatever they teach and use different methods to help the students understand. They are also very helpful outside the classroom aswell incase any students has any trouble regarding the course or what's being taught.

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We do have a training and placement cell which is run mostly run by both students and teachers. Students with good percentile can sit for placements and can get place into companies which are mostly from BPO and sales background. Students are eligible for campus placements in their 5th semester. Companies which have came in our college in 2024-2025 are Sri ram insurance , Kotak insurance , Planet spark , De shaw , Zomato etc. Highest package offered is around 5 LPA and average package is around 1.5 LPA. I have planned to go for higher studies after my graduation, most probably I will be doing MBA.

I chose the course B.Com (hons in finance and accounting). Look teachers will reach you the syllabus bit the rest you have to cover your all. For that library and computer facilities would be given to you. The library contains a lot of books which you can refer for extra material.

Placement Experience:

You are eligible for placement after you 4th semester , They will also provide you noc if required for your placement, they actually dont have good companies I personally didn't went for placement because i have some other plans but some of my friends were there for placement, and from them I came to know that the companies are offering only 20-25 k month and on a remorte location, according to me which is not sufficient . Percentage of students got placements were around 50%. My plan after degree is that i am opting MBA because bcom hons is not such a huge degree that you will get good income from that only ,so if you want to boostup you career I suggest you must go for atleast MBA.

A Memorable Experience

I chose chandigarh university because of its academic excellence. It is NAAC A+ college and also one of India's leading top private universities. It provides its students with large number of opportunities.. It has industry industry-oriented curriculm. Excellent placement records , one of my batchmates got place din PayPal with the package of 34 LPA. It has smart campus and infrastructure. Libraries are fully equipped with modern facilities and overall this university provides good exposure. Apart from Chandigarh University, i also applied for CSE in GNDU, Amritsar.
