Course Curriculum Overview

4

The importance given to learning about sensor applications and also the duality that my course provides to students made me ppt for this course as it gives me the credentials to excel in the software as well hardware domain. The curriculum is on par with real world applications and constantly includes projects and papers that cover modern technology. The exams are one every one and a half month and they cover two courses in a day which totals to 3 hours per day. Their difficulty level is moderate and one can easily excel if he/she optimised their resources and their time.

Internships Opportunities

4

Numerous companies such as Mercedes Benz, JP Morgan, Microsoft etcetera visit the campus and offer positions of software developers, or basic intern roles. Stiped of around 5k or 10k a month are offered based on the offer and student. Taking part in seminars and workshops help in obtaining clarity regarding these processes but more so a self study helps and is more effective in understanding the ideals of the outside world.

Placement Experience

4.5

Students can get eligible for campus placements by the 3rd year where they can obtain PPO or Pre Placement Offers, after obtaining which they must complete their education and can directly start work. The other option is appearing for the placement drive in the final year of your college. Numerous companies visit the institution such as Google, Dell, Intel, Nvidia, Amazon etcetera and the placement record was at 105% in my year of admission. The highest package offered in the college was 92 lpa by Amazon, and the average was 14 lpa. Almost all the students get placed yearly and it gives everyone a chance to secure a good package. My plans are to get some job experience after which I will pursue higher studies to enrich my knowledge.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee remains constant from when mentioned at the time of admission and does not see any specific spike in the numbers. The total cost of my education is 2.95 lakhs including all compulsory charges. Numerous scholarship programs are provided to students and amount up to 1.5 lakh as financial aid is provided to select students. I am currently in my first year so I am yet to apply for job opportunities, but the college has vast resources to help students secure internships and get their job experience. It also prepares you for placements accordingly via training, seminars and courses. The college also provides employment opportunities through roles in the clubs of the college to build your soft skills and understand how an organisation works.

Campus Life

4.5

There are two major fests that take place in the college namely E-Summit which is a fest filled with seminars from key speakers, events, competitions and more. The other is the 8th mile fest which is the biggest fest of the college and takes place bi-yearly. It is a huge mash of dance, music, games, food, dj nights and more. The library has an issue policy for 2 weeks for upto 4 books and also has online resources from where one can issue or download reference books and papers. The sports, clubs, NCC, NSS communities are widely known for it's excellence. The sports teams have remained successful for many years in the past and the NCC batallion has remained the best in the directorate. There are numerous technical, cultural, vocal clubs that give opportunities to each and every student to enrich their college experience and learn something new.

Admission

The eligibility of my course included a minimum of 70% in all the core subjects that are physics, math and chemistry in the 12th board examination, and a beating the cut-off rank of exams like KCET and COMEDK. I got in through comedk and the cut-off in my year of admission was 2540. The application form can be obtained from the college main website that can be found on the browser. The admission process was smooth, from the completion of the entrance exam to the counseling stage and securing admission into the college. Although I would suggest that the counseling stage should not take such an unnecessarily long time.

Faculty

3.5

There are numerous faculties for each class of 60 and the college also assigns one professor as a counsellor for every 20 students to establish a one to one connect and to provide a source for any query whatsoever. All the faculty are experienced and have obtained their Phd in their respective fields. They follow the older techniques of pen to paper while also following modern methods such as online classes, quizzes, class discussions, group projects etcetera. Students can contact professors at any time of need and a response is always provided within a short timeframe from sending the message. They are very approachable and help in clearing any confusion the student may have.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
