Likes

I like this college because of its in hill station and its surrounding
The learning facilities are beat because college provide us with theory knowledge as well as practical knowledge
The faculty are also nice they teach us according to their knowledge as they lnow.

Dislikes

The campus can be more big the infrastructure
Some faculties are worst they don't teach us properly
We don't get much support from the teachers and HOD from the department

Course Curriculum Overview

As the course itself has a peak in comming days because computer science is a way to success in life we get many knowledge from this course wheather it's software skill or hardware skills. The frequency and timing of exam must be more as we don't get much time to study within 5-6 months we have to study 10-12 subjects in each semester.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes the fee policy are different according to the college every year a new fee structure in made according to the college. The students of West Bengal get opportunity to apply for the scholarship where they get nearly 60 thousand yearly. The name of the scholarship is Swami Vivekanand Scholarship

Campus Life

The fest are tech fest and cultural fest in our college. In tech fest we participate in technology related program. The range of books accessibility can be much nice because we don't get much facilities from the college library. But library is good for the needs we gets the books accordingly to the subjects. There are many clubs in college according to the students choice they can go in any club they need photography club

Admission

As I know there are several types of application process in university like for west Bengal student they can apply through wbjee and for application to outside west Bengal we apply through Jee and Jee mains. For any type of government college the cut off range goes high. But I liked the type where we can choose our subject in which we are interested in any private affiliated colleges.

Faculty

The ratio of the students are nice in each section their are around 60 students. The faculties are very nice some of them even hold phd degree. The interaction with teachers are nice as there are mentors alloted for every 20 students in college.

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

I got TFW quota in this college from WBJEE Counselling, so for this the total fees for me is 1/8th of the fees paid by other, who take admission through Direct or with WBJEE Counselling itself.
