Course Curriculum Overview

There are 6 semestars in total. Every semester there are some honours papers as well as there are some pass course papers also in upto third semester. It's mandatory to achieve a certain marks to get chances in scholarship.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 2500 per year

Internships Opportunities

There is no chance of getting any internship with the help of college. But there's some chance of getting recomendation to join jobs in some start-up companies. Student's should have to submit one major project in the final year.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is not any noticabel increase in fee policy. There are few government and non-governmental scholarships are available. College is very helpful regarding scholarships and official departments are also helpful.

Campus Life

There's an annual social event named "LAHARI". In this event alumni's are also invited. Most of the time there's some singers or bands are invited to the fest. Students run some social events to help backward classes!

Admission

Students need to got at least 60% in maths or computer science in their 10+2 boards. Admission form can be found in college website. There's some reservation benifits for lower cast students. College needs to improve there classrooms.

Faculty

60 students are in total & there are 8 proffesors and 2 non teaching staff. Teachers are too friendly and interaction is very frequent. Best faculty and best teachers in my point of view. I'll love to visit this place again again and again.

1.The faculties of modern physics and computational physics were exceptional and in my opinion the best in the city. 2.Since i was more inclined towards modern physics i chose this particular college. 3.The curriculam prepares the students for higher studies like masters and doctorate. 4.The frequency and timing of exam coincided with calcutta university. 5.Areas of improvement-Better Equipment for Optics lab and more digital equipments.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.

My college offers very minimal placement for the branches of chemistry. Few Chemical manufacturing companies of haldia visits our college for placement. The avarage package for placed students is around 240000 per year.so as l come from the economics department I have access to the internships form college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is impressive as it includes all the importaint subjects of several entrace exams. On extra the college provides internships for real world problem solving. In case of Computer Science students are working at NIC, CU, IIEST, NIT Patna, IISC and many other as interns.
