Truthful College Experiences:My Honest Review

One will choose the IT branch obviously if they are not getting CSE branch. Curriculum is literally shit if we talk about the whole University AKTU. They literally need to make changes, update the syllabus like IITs make it more relevant, change the books also which is again literally outdated. They should increase their difficulty level so that the analytical mind of student will open.But what here happens is only reading the PYQs and giving the exam as most of the question are just repeated. There are three Internal Sessionals Exam from which best two are considered and one External Exam in one semester.

Campus placement provided after 7th semester , limited companies recruit from there mostly companies are mass- recruiters like TCS , Wipro etc. Very few good companies give good placement offers but they are usually off-campus. Highest placement on-campus is around 12-15 lakh. Average is around 4-5 lakh. But off-campus you can grab around 30 lakh+ if you are skills are good. There are so many criteria for eligibilty for on-campus placement so don't have exact idea about percentage but according to the students numbers very few students eligible for on-campus placement. Mostly students opt for government exams like UPSC and PCS or other , many prepare for GATE , CAT exams for higher studies.

Fees of Btech IT is 138000 and if you are a hostler add one more lakh. No hike in fees as far as I know. Total 4 year Btech will cost you around 6lakh and add 4lakh more if you are a hostler. Several scholarship provided by UP government will be provided which is around 60k if your annual income is below than 2 lakh. No campus Employment opportunities for which stipends is awarded.

There is one fest held in college which is Zealicon typically held around April-May but may be discontinued by college from this year. So most probably there is no fest in the college from now.Also there is no Farewell and Freshers held in this college. Mostly books available are course related , you will rarely see any other books beside it. No Technology provisions (Not Even ACs) in classrooms just one green board and chalk. Bad infrastructure and less cleanin. Sports Facilities are there but there are few to Zero sports competition in the college. You can go to other colleges competitions for that. There are many societies/ clubs in the college for various fields which is one good thing here if you literally want to take admission try to be part of one/more societies , it can increase academic pressure but add something good things like your interaction with seniors, also add fun element, you can join clubs accordingly to you interest/ passion.

If you opt for hostel , you will get a almirah, a table , a chair and a bed , fans and lights, a small balcony, there will be 3-4 switch plug points.This is all they provide. You have to bring you own mattress.3-seaters rooms are there both for boys and girls. You will be given choice for single room after 3 years. There are some ACs rooms but you have to pay 20k-30k more for that. You will be provided with 4 meals a day. Quality obviously not good.... Taste wise Breakfast is good , Lunch and Evening is okay but Dinner will make you cry. You will get Hostel during college counseling. Hostel Rooms provided on the first come first serve basis. There are several pgs also outside for boys like Hooliv and Lohia.

Admission is through JEE -Mains Exam. You have to participate in AKTU councelling. You have to register on AKTU website and fill the application form. Reservation will be provided to EWS , OBC, SC, STs (Horizontal Reservation) and to Girls, Defence, Rural (Vertical Reservation) but only if you have passed your 12th from UP or your parents are residence of UP. You will get a decent branch in this college if your rank us around 90k -1 lakh. AKTU counseling get delayed because of which course get delayed they need to improve their counseling process.

Most of the faculty members are PHD. There post is Assistant Professor, but don't know how their knowledge is too much limited.They can only solve the repeated AKTU questions.They really don't know how to teach expected few faculty members. Faculty to student ratio is around 1:70. Only few students give attention to what the Teachers taught. No projectors , Teachers teaches on green board with chalk. Many Teachers teach like they are just reading the book. Interaction is okay but what to interact with those dumb teacher.
