Life at NIT UK

I choose this course beacuse of my interest in IOT and great demand of electronics engineers in the global market. Professors here are really helpful and have great experience in their core suject. Although the curriculum is old and 75% attendance criteria is mandatory for sitting in exams and exams are also quite frequent , like we have two midterms and one endterm exam every semester.

Placement Cell of NIT Uttarakhand is good and its been doing great work form last few years, helping students in getting placement opportunities from 3rd year. Placement rate is also quite good and the average package of CSE is 15lakhs per annum.

Tution fees for whole year is 1,25,000 and other than that some extra fees (which include internet, development, examination, etc. fees) of 16,750 per year is also have to be paid. And at the time of admission 28,000 is also have to be paid out of which some ammount is refundable. If you opt for hostel and mess the total fees for that is 62,750 per year. Wavier in tution fees is available for the students having family income below 5 lakhs and for SC/ST/PH students. Students can avail scholarship through NSP or through private scholarships like Reliance Founation, Hans Foundation,etc.

Current college runs in the temporary polytechnic and iti campus at srinagar uttarakhand , and the permanent campus is under construction in Sumari which is nearby to srinagar. Due to small campus sports facilities are not as par as other NITs. There are various clubs in college like Technical Club, Cultural and Fine Arts Club, Photography Cub, Literary Club and Sports Club for students to show their passion.Annually Cliffesto and Prodyogeeky , the cultural and technical fest respectively are organised in the college.

Hostel facilties are available for both boys and girls , which include bedrooms with 3 beds and tables and bathrooms equipped with geysers and mess is attached with hostels. Mess food is just eatable and sometimes not eatable also. Rooms are also available for rent in the locality if you do not want to opt for hostels.

I have appeared for jee mains in 2023 and secured 41K rank which is enough to get admission in NIT Uttarakhand for home state students. I applied in JOSSA counselling secured EEE in round 1 and it was upgraded to ECE in round 4.

Faculites are good and are supportive to the students . Most of the faculities are from the IITs and other renowned institutes, they have a good knowledge about their subject. Faculty to student ratio is also good.
