COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING THALASSERY, Studies with a more bit of extracurricular activities.

The course curriculum is the worst part of the college actually it's the university's issue. There is literally less time in a semester it almost is conducted between 3-4 months time. The exam results publication is the worst part of it. The time gap for the publication of revaluation results is higher so that it will be after the conduction of it's supplementary exam.

There are some companies working in our college inside a incubation area called ASAP. They provides free courses and internships for students. I had already done an internship from a company here. It's good point is that these are only the companies that are held by the students who passed out from our college itself.

The placement is provided from the college partially. We are eligible from 5th semester towards it's preparation. Iam in 4th semester so i do not have much clarity about it. I think only less than 20% chance is there for placement. If not in campus placement we can try it outside the college but it will be a bit harder for us to crack.

Fees structure and the policy are not that strict. The fees can be paid in between the semester at any time with any node of payment. All kinds of scholarships are provided by the college. Stipends are given by the government itself to those eligible. Campus placement are not that much effective but those who are eligible will surely be availed the opportunity.

Extra curricular activities are one of the highlights of the college. A technical fest is held in college once in 2 years. It's was named agnitus last year. In may 2023.Our college library is one of the richest collection of books I have seen but it mostly contain those related to our course only. Sports are one of the key aspects in the college. There is a guide in the college for this purpose. We were the champions in our zone in cricket. There are many clubs present in our college. Including IEDC, IEEE etc. It has a good impact to grow the activities that we get apart from studies.

The entrance to the college has two ways. One is Kerala entrance examination (KEAM) and the other is NRI admission. Reservations are there based on caste. But i was not eligible. The exam is actually easy in my perspective. But admission in computer science was having a bit too much people. So the rank defines our opportunity.

I think the quality and the qualifications of the teachers are of good standard an they are willing to provide any support. Some students who are careless and not interested in studies ar not engaged by the teacher apart from this the quality is good.
