What Students Say

Likes

Fests are organized at a regular interval so students can get a much needed break
The placement cell is very active and we get offers every 2-3 days
There are two libraries which are quite spacious, out of which one is specifically for law students

Dislikes

Infrastructure could have been better. the chairs needs repairing and not all classes have projectors
There is no wi-fi facility available and the college is situated at a place where network is patchy
Timetable can be very hectic so people who come from a little far away could easily be spending the entire day at the college

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this particular course becuase i want to pursue MBA in future. the curriculum prepares us well for our professional careers and higher studies by sharing the own experiences and insights from their own careers. however, the teaching methods could be improved. some teachers focus solely on PPT's instead of textbooks and vice versa. Exams are held twice every semester and are fairly easy to pass if one has practised.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are offered every 2-3 days from 4th semester onwards. there are offers from companies like Kraftshala, Assetyogi, Spectal management with stipends starting from 5000 per month and goes up to 15000 per month. projects could include identifying and securing new clients, driving marketing campaigns, etc.

Placement Experience

students in the 4th semester are eligible for placements. the highest package offered was 43 LPA and the average package is around 4 LPA. Around 35 % get placed every year. I plan to pursue MBA in either IIM or abroad after completing my studies at this college.

Fees and Financial Aid

as per knowledge, the tuition fees is increased 10% every year. The complete fees of my course would be about Rs. 3,30,000. There is a scholarship policy for students under sc, st, obc category. However, it is only for students who reside in delhi which is why I was not able to avail it.

Campus Life

Initio is an annual fest held every year at the campus in December. the libraries are stocked full of books and the law students have a separate library. some classrooms have projectors. All classrooms have air conditioning. there are music bands and clubs, photography clubs, NSS for interested students

Admission

The admission process is fairly easy. you just have to give an entrance test CET and apply to your college of choice if you pass. eligibility of my course is an aggregate of 50% in 10th and 12th. The exams are held twice every semester. they are comparatively easy.

Faculty

some faculty member are skilled and have a really creative approach when it comes to teaching. however, there are faculty members who could do a little better with their teaching and communication skills. some teachers also discriminate between boys and girls.

As per the reports only 30% gets placed and you should build outside relation with companies because companies over here you have not even heard of them, so it's like college not for placement average placement is about just 3.5 LPA

DTU East Campus is Beautiful!

Placement Experience:

From defense like Indian Navy to Indian Army and then companies like Capital Finance, AU Small Finance Bank and others are the ones which prominently offers us intenrships and jobs as well. So, jobs here are quite better than that of DTU.

I didn't take any placements from the college as I wanted to go for higher studies. But my batchmates took the placements and they were placed with decent packages. The companies that came on campus for BBA batch recruitment, mainly the customer-centric role, sales, and operations roles.

The Reality of DU colleges

Placement Experience:

Iam a first year student and i dont know much about the companies visiting our college. But what I know is there are not alot of placement opportunities in the off campus colleges (there are some exceptions). This is also a reason why companies dont come in these colleges for placement. But if you are form the north campus or south campus you can have alot and better opportunities than the off-campus students

Placement Experience:

The students of final year become eligable for placement and they have to get register themself in the placement cell. the company like Swiggy and fintech company visit here. The highest CTC offered here is 3.5 lakh and average package ranges here from 2.1 lakh per annum. 70% students are placed here every year and rest secure off campus jobs. Get set start with brief info about VIPS.

I applied for Delhi Universities and IP Universities. The first criteria to get into DU is based on merit but also you have the second option ie. by giving the the-Jat exam. Though the cut-off yet goes high for general category students. So I ended up getting into the topmost colleges of IP universities in my course. IP has an entrance exam for every student and the maximum % of admission depends on the Rank you get in the CET. For my course, it is mandatory to have Maths and English in your 12th. The l the rank results higher the chance you to get admitted. The process has 3 rounds after the results. Post getting the results you set your college preferences and according to your rank, you are allotted one. If you are satisfied with the college you can get yourself enrolled but if not you can wait for the second round which goes the same way. But even if you are yet not satisfied you can wait for the spot round ie. if someone leaves that spot. The entire admission process in IP is systematic....Read More
