Course Curriculum Overview

The subjects taught in the curriculum covers all the aspect of the things that we further require in the real world and are necessary for us to understand and learn. The practicals are more important than the theory as our course is based on how we work in the hospital

Class Size: 28Course Fees: INR 88000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly tuition fees is 88000 and I paid about 30000 during the time of admission. The college has promised to give us a 6 months internship in the 6th Semester with a promise of guaranteed placement

Campus Life

There are many extracurricular activities we can enagage in our college which includes a fashion team, a dance club, a music club and a sports club which focuses mainly on football, cricket and basketball

Admission

The student has to obtain at least 50% to be eligible to apply for this course. He/she can apply directly from the college website or can visit the college to complete the admission process. Each Semester is of 3-4 months and there are two exams conducted each semester, one in the middle and one at the end

Faculty

The faculty in the allied health department are not qualified enough and mostly converse in Bengali as most of them do not know Hindi and English which makes it difficult for the non Bengali students to understand them

Good academics with limited internship opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and well structure. It includes theory an practical subject which help in building strong basics it is useful for higher studies and future career . Some improvement are needed in adding more skil based course and internship. Teaching methods can be more interactive. The course follow a semester system and exam are of moderate difficulty

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love computer science so I chose this department. The teaching in this department is very good and the labs are also very good. We have many exams in our semester.It would have been better if we had studied our theory paper a little better. And it would have been better if we had studied Android app development a little better.

Placement Experience:

After completing the 5th Semester the student are eligible for placement but the student should have 7.5 CGPA and a good attendence for the palcement after this oncampus placement like TCS, wipro, accenture etc come for placement with a native package of around 6-8 LPA. Which is goood . Nearly as per report around 80% of studentt gets placed every year . After i complete this course i have decide to go master degree in data science which will be benificial for me for international company.

How an average student sees his College

Remarks:

Pros:The teachers very very helpful and friendly. Loans and scholarships available. Faculties are highly qualified. Infrastructure is awesome. Cons: no placement. No stipends There wasn’t any hostel facility. Canteen could be developed.

Insights of SNU

There are a few private colleges present in Kolkata which provides biotechnology but in my opinion the labs of those colleges are not as well furnished as ours. There curriculum is little different than ours. I didn't apply to any other colleges apart from Snu for biotechnology I sat for an online exam .And I cleared the test. Once you get a call you visit the college campus meet the faculty and the faculty may take a type of interview session The addmission process is smooth. But sometimes the staff members of admission makes blunder. My classes were about to start from 17 August, but they called me during July( because she didn't know that biotechnology does not fall under para- medical and made a mistake and for her mistake I had to suffer as I'm not a resident of Kolkata)...Read More
