Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

This course is an integrated program that is BA + LLB in our course we learnt fee subjects of arts along with law parallelly till 3 years. The benefit of opting BA in law is you get a complete idea of society and how laws have been made with reference to history. All the curriculum of the subject is quite good. The level of the exam is also not very tough one can get easily good marks of he/ she gives little focus and has consistency. It really helped us when we went for our internship as we already knew about the basics of law and court and various legal organizations.

Internships Opportunities

4

If I talk specifically about the law department then we get the opportunity to intership in any law organization like SECL, SAIL Bhilai Steel plant, NHRC, DLSA SLSA, District courts, and High courts, etc. Stipends are very rare that too in Courts only.

Fees and Financial Aid

Course feees is quite affordable as it is a central university so the fees and all are decided by the central only . Tution fee is 7500 per year but in Bilaspur if u are decided to live in PG / Hostel outside the university then it may cost you around 3000-5000/- and food including lunch and dinner 2000-3000/- which I guess is quite affordable. Yes there is a provision of scholarship in our university infact many students are availing this benefits and getting good amount.

Campus Life

4.5

Yes, it is quite remarkable I would say. There is a festival like Fest, Dance - music culture celebration of festivals everything they celebrate with all enthusiasm. There we have a Central library which has a really good collection of books, WiFi facilities, and canteen facilities all are really good For sports there is a sports ground, a Yoga and meditation center coach has been provided and recently Facility of Gym has also been given to us . Yes, students are running various groups actively and the impact of this on students is that they really get help. whenever they needed. They too get involved actively in such groups which help them to develop their personality overall.

Admission

Eligibility of the course was to have a 12th pass from CBSE or any other state board. An application of form is available on its website and now admissions are done through CUET. Earlier in my time we took an entrance test named as Vishwavidyalaya Entrance Test (VET). The paper was quite an easy cut-off at that time 78 /100. But now the whole scenario has been changed one must clear the CUEt to get the admission. But students have a high chance of getting admission here. Yes, there is a reservation available for the students of ST/SC categories, EWS categories, and PWD. I don't think any suggestions are needed in terms of the admission process as it was as good as it should have been.

Faculty

4.5

It is quite good As I mentioned earlier faculties are quite cooperative and always ready to help. The ratio of students and faculties is also good. Their approach to teaching and mentorship is also getting better now. Overall I am happy with the experience.

Placement Experience:

Every year, good law firms from tier 1 and 2 classes and corporate companies take placements from our college. The students become eligible for placement from the 9th semester itself. In my batch, every student who registered for placement got placed in a law firm. I didn't opt for placement as I have other plans of doing a Master's further after my graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was interested in finance and law all together thats why I endup choosing Bcom Llb program The course is designed as per the BCI norms , with its comprehensive knowledge and practically one would be able to solve out real world problems. The suggestion that would like to give is the course is inclined with 70: 30 ratio to theory and practical it should be 50:50 with equal understanding.

Course Curriculum Overview:

After 12th I took a drop as I was myself not certain. Then I looked at various options and law felt like a safer option to me as if I can manage at an NLU then job and all are more or less guaranteed. Course is good and college also helps us find the right internships in the hub of lawyers which is Delhi.
