KIIT University College review

Th BTech is probably the best in this university from all the aspects as maximum students studying in this university choose BTech itself only. The curriculum preparers the students for real life world like jobs and all and to compete in the global market by knowing all the stuffs which are needed by a company's perspective. The curriculum needs to work on the assignment as they give assignment even on the study leave as our study time gets decreased as we have to focus on doing assignments. The exams can be conducted according to the classes or teachers as it will help each teacher to make the students give a better understanding of the topics and will not be in a hurry to complete the syllabus due to college exams approaching.

The college provides a lot of internships to the students as in where the students get to choose where they want to go without waiting for them to choose for them. By the end of the course the students would have worked on a lot of projects being it solo or group and the outcomes are that it helps them to put their theory knowledge into practical knowledge and put it into work.

The college provides a decent package to all the students where the students are asked to score atleast 7+ cgpa to sit in the campus interviews which takes place. The students are eligible for campus interviews from 7th sem itself and many of them already brag a good package till the end of 8th sem. The highest package this year was 72 lakhs and avg is 7.5 lakhs and the number of students getting hired is pretty high.

The tution fees of the college is pretty high but compared to other private colleges it's reasonable as it's almost the same as others. The tution fees for Computer science and IT branch is 192000 per sem and for non Computer science branches is 175000 per sem. The hostel cost depends from different rooms chosen starting from 28000 and going till 75000 per sem and the college also provides scholarship to students getting good marks and the underprivileged ones.

The college provides a wonderful college life as it helds the annual fest where a lot of event's are being held like antakshari dance competition music competition etc in the month of February and throughout the year some or the other event is going on in the campus and other then fest,MUN is one of the biggest event. The books can be availed from the central library which is open 24/7 and the classrooms are digital where each room has a smart board where the teacher teaches the students. The sports facilities are really good and almost all the sports that one can think of is present in the college for the students.

The hostel are decent types as compared to other competitors and the wardens are good and helpful yet sometimes they face issues as the number of students staying in the hostel is too huge but the mess food is not at all good and is below average for which many of them order food from outside or skip even after paying for the mess as the taste is below average. Hostel availing process is available while getting admission into the college itself.

The admission was pretty smooth for me as I didn't face any such issues from the college. The course that I chose ie BTech has a cutoff where the student needs to score in physics maths chemistry a minimum of 60% to get admission in the college in the BTech course and The application forms can be found and filled in the KIIT official website and all the other related details lile counselling fees etc. The entrance exam as compared to JEE mains is easy ofcourse but it is not so easy to crack and can be done by proper studies and dedication.

The faculty members are having top notch qualification as most of the members are from the top tier colleges of the country like IIT IIIT BITS etc.The college provides mentorship to all the students which are the teachers itself who take care of the students and all the students are free to text and call almost any time of the day when they want to as they are always approachable and the teachers way of teachers depends on each one of them but most of them when asked any questions can answer all the student doubts and the student ratio of teacher to student is average 1:80.
