What Students Say

Likes

The department,specially Teachers and Staffs are very friendly and helping in nature.
The affordability of college bus,it only cost you 80rs for 5-6 weeks,the buses are very punctual
The easiness in the.curriculam,and the support the teachers provide you are best among the others.They help you to learn in a easier manner

Dislikes

Lack of cleanliness.Most of the areas are covered under grass and fallen leaves.
Mosquito, you can't stay freely in any area of the university.
Stray dogs. The university filled with large number of street dogs and they are not safe

Course Curriculum Overview

The course mainly focusing on Data science.It covers entire machine learning ,deep learning,Explainable AI ,DBMS and other related subjects.The course is vast and the same time it is brief.After the completion of the course everyone is able to perform data analysis or data engineering on their own.So i prefer everyone to take M Sc data science from cusat.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Differnt companies like TATA ELXSI,IBM,NOUS INFOTECH,Etc will come with intership opportunities and also students from other colleges can do intership in our department.The teachers are specialised in Deep Learning ,Machine Learning,NLP,Image Processing,etc.And they will help you to get collaboration with institution in their respective field of intership

Placement Experience

The campus offers high number of placement.but the data science companies are very much low...near to zero in number.But companies like IBM,TATA ELXSI,TCS,FEDERAL BANK,ACCENTURE,etc will come.for the role of Developers and Banker respectively.If you are good at aptitude and computer programming you will be placed at a company with an average LPA of 5

Fees and Financial Aid

There are basically 4 semesters in the entire course.You have to pay about 40000 on the odd semester namely 1 and 3.About 35000 on the even sems.Also they have examination fee about 2500 in every semester.Around 2 lakh is for the entire course including hostels and food

Campus Life

The college have very large number of extra curricular activity opportunities.There they have coding club,NSS,Nature club,Sports Club,Arts Club, differnt clubs.And also there will ASTRA for inter campus sports fair.and SARGAM as inter campus arts fest.

Admission

The admission is based on the common entrance examination,named as CUSAT CAT which is basically held on every may of the year.The CAT exam mainly focused on the students aptitude abilities and Computer science ability.The last rank admitted to the course was about 103

Faculty

The teachers are very very helpful and friendly.They treat you like their child.And help you to get knowledge in differnt areas.They give you motivation to think out of the box and do some extra ordinary.Also they help students to find their interests and work on that field.I have never seen they are compelling to students to do something they are uncomfortable of.Also they help you with your ideas and help you to start your own startups

Curriculum are updated bi-annually, which is a great thing as it keeps the subjects relevant to the industry standards. The semesters can become quite hectic after the first internals as each subjects have 2 components. The timing to submit both is close.

The best college for study

Course Curriculum Overview:

Obviously this physics course is tough but the influence of the teachers and other staff made us too motivated and the systematic exam schedule helped us to complete our portion before the exams and there is some more time for the revision purpose.. There teaching method are so useful and they treat us so politely and in friendly nature. So its too easy to clear doubt and feel comfortable to ask them and clear anything.. Its so helpful for us to complete our exam nicely...

Life at IITPKD

Remarks:

JEE Rank was the main factor. The facilities like hostel, labs, etc mentioned in the IIT Palakkad website. During the allotment process, one senior girl student of my branch contacted me and cleared all my doubts whether it was small or big, placement details, etc. After the rankings were released, based on the previous years cut-off ranks, I was able to get a fair idea about the colleges I would be able to join among all the IITs, NITs, IIITs. Based on JEE Mains rankings, NIT or IIITs can be chosen. Based on JEE Advance ranking, IIT can be chosen. Also, 2 mock allotment will take place which gives a fair idea of which allotment we will get. These mock allotment will be based on our preferences. We can change them after the mock. Then the actual allotment will start. Once we finalise our preferences and lock them, there will be 7 rounds of allocation. 3 options will be given in each round-Float, Freeze,Slide (details will be clearly mentioned in the website). Once you are allocated a seat in any round, document verification will take place (seat acceptance fee must be paid at this stage).
