Bsc(honours.) Horticulture in BCKV(West Bengal)

When I was at 12th standards , I decided to take biology after 12th but later I realised that biology honours can't give me better future,I opted for another option that is horticulture which is mostly dependent on plant biology and focus on practical work than theoretical knowledge.that really mesmerized me.

After completing this course one can seat in placement for getting a secured job but it is in private sector but for govt job one should apply in competitive exam like AFO and Adh or Ada etc. That's a highly paid job for students

Very few Agricultural University in India has lower fees structure as like BCKV. That is an highlight for this University. Admission fees is 15000rs and 6700rs/ sem . There is hostel facility which charges only food cost monthly around 2500rs Swami Vivekanand scholarship is available for students which provides 18000rs per year

Infrastructure of this University is very good but it should be maintained regularly additionally Ac fans etc. Students become close friends as they have to study together and make project, field works etc . Students enjoy their life beside study as social programs, annual sports are held . And there is no pressure of study on students as professors are too kind

In Hostel, u feel free as in home, u can enjoy with friends whenever u can that's why study pressure become loose . They become ur family members. In room there is 2 fans 3light and 3 socket for accomodation of 3 students. Hostel fees is only food charges. So it is very fair for middle class family.

Admission is based on Higher secondary results in west bengal. And others from residents of west bengal can take seat in this college by giving Icar ug exam but they should crack this exam with a valuable rank. For ag engineering they should apply through wbjee and cut off for ur is 92% . And for others category cutoff is much below near 88%

There is 3 faculties in Bckv . Horticulture, Agriculture and Agr Engineering. I horticulture there is 38 students seat whereas in agriculture and engineering there are 150 and 30 students respectively. In main campus but University has its two sub campus where only agriculture available. Teachers are highly educated ( completed their degree in PhD) and give their best to teach students.
