Course Curriculum Overview

the nep has reformed much of the curriculum and i particularly like the introduction of dse papers. i picked literature and cinema for one semester and it was the best paper i could have ever taken. the core papers are usually lovely. the introduction of vac, sec and aec papers has made the curriculum feel more fussy. they are 2 credit papers but end up requiring the same level of attention and effort as the 4 credit core papers.

Internships Opportunities

my college has an internship and placement cell that forwards a lot of internship offers to the entire student body of the college. they use a standard cv format for all students. another great opportunity in du is the vice chancellor's internship and principal's internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

tuition fee hasn't seen a hike, at least not during my academic session. the admission, registration and tuition fee was 27k to begin with in the first year. in 2nd year it was 19k. exam fees are around 1-2k. financial aid is available for foreign students and students belonging to ews categories. additionally, the library consists of a book bank as well.

Campus Life

du generally has a fest season from around march to april. this is the period during which most colleges of du hold their annual fests. they have different names. range and accessibility of books is overall pretty good in libraries across du. the classrooms all have a laptop and a projector. sports activities include basketball, softball, tennis etc to my knowledge. student run societies are integral to college life in du.

Admission

the application form, fees and dates are all now easily available due to the centralized test CUET. it has made the process more streamlined and easy. the entrance exam have the standard 12th boards level of difficulty.

Faculty

The faculty at my college is great. I like the professors. They are all experts in the standard curriculum, but what's more beneficial and inspiring for us students to see their various pursuits in the academic field and out of it.

Truth About Hidden IPCW (DU)

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option

Life when you get into srcc
