MACE the Moment

I was so found to coding and computer applications. I wanted to pursue my career on it. So I opted for this course. KTU 2019 scheme doesn't really prepare you for the industrial requirement. But with added research and self development of skills we can reach up to the mark. Need to make changes to the syllabus according to the industrial requirement. Students should be industrialy ready after they complete the course. In total there are 8 sems for the course of 4 years. Each sem has to internal exams conducted by the college and an end semester examination conducted by the university. Each sem has a duration of about 3 months.

There are a lot of internship opportunities available. Certain companies do come to provide paid internships for skillfull students. Students need to submit a minor and a major project before they produce their btech course.

Placement are good. Certain big MNCs and intermediate companies come for campus placement. The average placement package is about 5 lakhs per annum. Google, TCS, Byjus, Uber, IBM are some of the companies that frequently visit in our college campus. The highest package placement in our college was about 50LPA and the lowest is arround 1LPA. About 90 % of students get placed. Most of the others prefer for higher studies or start a startup.

For a general student with no reservation the fee is arround 8k per year. However students can avail for reservations according to there financial capabilities. Egrants is available in the college and eligible students can apply for it.

There are a lot of clubs available in the college which include IEEE, GDSC, SAE and many more. There are a lot of events organised by them. The infrastructure is relatively good given that it is an aided government engineering college. Sports related activities are promoted within the college.The college team do participate in Cricket, Football, Volleyball and Basketball KTU tournament often.

I secured a rank of 2384 in the keam examination. As first allotment I got a seat in DS in the same college . In the third allotment I got CS eventually. The Last rank was about 2500 for cs in MACE. The admission process was relatively easy. The one disadvantage is that you should come to the college to take the admission rather than to perform it virtually.

The student to faculty ratio is approximately 60:1. Faculties are good. They interact with the students most of the time. Asks us to share every experience we encounter in our college life.The name of my faculty is Nimisha Eldho. She is very passionate about her works. She teaches C programming.She is very interactive and acts as a mentor as well as a friend to the students. We can approach our teachers whenever needed. They feel obliged to clear our doubts whenever needed.
