Remarks

College management is good, kind and helpful (if not always cooperating). Overall, the college is decent (Nice infrastructure, Management, Staff, and Faculty).

Entrance Preview

I opted for this college because I heard good reviews from many people, both who were studying here, and who was not. I am studying, at present, in CMRIT, and I have no complaints or regrets of joining here. The faculty is good, the place is well maintained.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The College has a lot of programs students can choose. These programs are optional for the students, and give them an opportunity to know and work in the fields they desire. The programs are more research-oriented, which will help the student grasp the topic with ease. Many such programs and projects are given to the students with the objective that the students must learn and develop with ease. There are many electives (OS, C++, Image Processing, Python) students can opt each year, which will help the students make use of computing in their research and work.

Internships Opportunities

The college has companies coming on-campus and handing out internships to some selected students, who clear a test held by the company. This happens only in the 4th year, and so the student must look here and there, struggling to find an internship, if he/she didn't clear the test, or doesn't have contacts, or if he/she is in any other year than the 4th year.

Placement Experience

3

The placements are good. The college tries to provide all students with jobs. At the beginning of the 4th year, the companies are invited to take tests and give out internships, which if the student gets, has a more secure job. If the student hasn't landed up with a job, the college will still make some efforts for some time.

College Events

4

There is Ethnic Day celebration, Kannada Rajyotsava celebration, fest "CULTURA". During these events, the college can be seen to unite and participate in various activities organized by students and clubs. A lot of cooperation can be seen as the students coordinate the activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is dependant on the method of entry/admission into the college. I got in by KCET, so for me, it is feasible at around 75k. The other entrances will cost more, COMEDK being cheaper than the Management Quota seat. Over time, colleges usually hike the fee and it becomes expensive for the student, but here, the fee decided during entry is final.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college has many programs for student development, which encourage the student, but I have not heard about any such facility, yet.

Campus Life

4

CMRIT has encouraged me to take part in sports. They encourage students to take part in various different activities apart from providing quality education. Attendance is also given in case you participate in different activities. I do recommend CMRIT.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel facility is good, although a lot of rules are imposed on the students. They have to abide by them. There is no flexibility in the rules. Hostelers will know the fee and the curfew timings. Mess food, as I have heard, is decent, but becomes boring after some time.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is good, and the senior students are more like friends, who will guide you through any issue, and will also be with you as long as you do not have an issue with them.

Exam Structure

For a semester we have 3 internals and 1 external, with lab tests (if lab exists). Definitely, the schedule becomes hectic, but seeing a similar schedule in most colleges, and staying for 8 semesters makes the student used to the schedule, and he/she can manage other things like social life correspondingly.

Admission

I got admission through KCET Exam, so I had to attend the Counselling process organized by KEA (Organizers of the KCET Exam). I had to complete their formalities, and then during the process, out of many colleges opted by me, I got CMRIT. Then I had to pay the fees and done.

Faculty

3

The faculty is good. They want the students to learn the concepts and build complex concepts on the simpler ones. To make a good foundation for you, they are dedicatedly working hard. You can always go to them for any problems. They teach you the basics and how to grasp the complex and help you build the complex concepts in your mind.

Placement Experience:

First of all, there isn't a passed out batch yet(as of 2025). The first batch enrolled in 2023 and they are currently in internship period as they've planned. Placement will be offered at the end of 4th year. Although for internships, around 50+ companies visited and 96% of students got internships. The average stipend was 30,000 INR and the highest stipend was 200,000 INR (non-domestic). My plans after getting the degree are to gain some experience and go for a masters in business if possible.
