- Peer group is diverse, coming from various backgrounds bringing unique perspectives and creating academic enviorment.
Dislikes
- Very very small campus area, no proper workspaces to work and no proper canteen as this is a recent college.
- No library (insufficient library resources) in the college which restricts students
- sometimes due to the diverse peer group there is a lot of peer pressure which causes demotivation and lack of productivity.
Course Curriculum Overview
our curriculm in tech oriented and focuses on essential skills, avoiding unnneccersy subjects. we also have monthly one on one mentor sessions with product based comany professionals to guide and provide us insights. specifc aspects of the curriculm that influenced my desicion to choose this course are: point to point education, no extra subjexts to study, core computer science based curriculm, mentorship session, expirienced faculty members, one year paid internship program, super mentor sessions with people like : kunal shah, etc. sometimes our schedule get so muct hectic so that need to be improvised. we follow our course on trimester. so every trimester we have 2 exams midsems and finals. difficulty level is a bit high. generally we have exma of 2-3 hrs.
Internships Opportunities
we have 100% placement guarantee and also we recently had pre-placment talk with some of the company people. we worked on many projetcs like image editor, data analytic projects like comapring the products of diff sites by calling the api's, many people in our college are also working on bashini project, etc.
Placement Experience
as we follow the trimester rule a student can be ready for the internships after the trimester 4 approx (1 year) this was the old curriculm but as per the new curiculmn update after 1 and half year student will be ready for the interships for sure as is has not even been a year that the college as started(opened) so we have no records of the companies, packages offered, placements as of now. my plans after the degree to work in maang companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
we have 2 scholorships to avail. and each one of them are depended on a person. four scholorships are: Women in Tech scholorship and Brightest Mind Scholorship. fee structure is divided in 2 main parts: 1st is the main college tution fees which is about 1,50,000 which also includes the fees paid to bits pilani. 2nd is the hostel (accomodation fees) which is about 4 lakhs which include lving and food both. total it summing upto 19,00,000. For the financial assistance we have many volunteers to hepl with both finanacial and addmission process. Employment oppurtunities are widely open also we have placemnet support by the college team. i dont have idea about the tuition fees increase pociliy but it increases for every year. complete cost of education is 19lakhs
Campus Life
As of now we had our annual fest called rise-up in the month of november, we will have our fest in the month on june called "yugaantar" which represents change of an era. we have a small cupboard as of now for the sake of library. within the classroom we get good wifi, we work on our laptops, projectors are display, and 24x7 AC we have sports club which take care of the sports and other clubs as well for the extracurriculur activites. we have many clubs like icpc club, open source club, cultural club, sports club, etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is pretty good it is just that we don't have AC's in the hostel :) we get 24x7 WiFi we get our rooms clean daily by housekeeping. we get food in the hostel it self our hostel also have games likes table tennis, carrom, etc we have working spaces in our hostel meal quality and menu is not too good neither too bad as sst is a residential program we do not have to register for the hostel saperatley it is included in our total college fees (19 lakhs)
Admission
My addmission process had 3 steps overall. The three stpes were 1) NSET exam: it is the private exam conducted by the college. mode of the exam was online with proper camera, mic and other essential guidlines. there are 3 sections in the exam 1. Maths, 2. Logical reasoning, 3.Learnability. each section has its own minimum required score and total exam has duration of 120 mins. the second step was 2) Maths one-on-one Interview: where we were asked maths questions and asked tosolve them. third and final stemp was 3) Dreams and Aspirations Interview round: where we will be interviewed about our Dreams and aspirations. entrance application fees for the exam is 1000rs. People with age 20 or lower and who have studied maths in their 11ht and 12th are eligiblre for the course. there are no reservation benifits by the college. the program is totally merit based if you qualify the exam ans interview rouds you'll get in the college
Faculty
our faculty members are highly effective and qualified and with work expirience of more than 4+ years in product based companies. Their practical expertise enriches our learning, providing valuable insights to industry practices and real-world expiriences. Talking about the faculty-to-student ratio as we are a class of 200 students there is a teacher who teaches us and we have bsm's (BATCH SUCCESS MANAGERS) which take care of each and every student during and after the lecture too. so it does not effect our learning in any bad way but instead enhances as we can appraoch them whenever needed even after the class and also "college timings" we can interact with our teachers till our college timings but BSM's anytime.
