HA better understanding

I was always interested in food and beverage section from childhood as i wanna open my own business sector and manage it so i joined the course and this course Bsc in HHA really helps me in every aspect and it was my dream college as i am from maharashtra . The curriculum is extensive though one can easily finish if they do a little hard work ... as the result for the 1st year BSC sem 1 is published today and i score more than expected so i am very happy. The teachers moslty dont use and physical notes may be beacuse its will to time consuming for them to finsih the syallabus , the prepare interesting slides in ppt to teach the students and the exam they is always in hurry as the government provide too little time for them to complete the examination.

The college provides the first year with many ODC opportunities from world renowned hotels like TAJ MARRIOT AND OBERIOS where the students can learn hands on experince before the intership , as we have not yet undergone andy internships but did a lot of official ODC na d got great Idea about how the industry works and the stipend for the ODC is also great which is around 1000-1500 per shift As being a no1 placement providing college in india the companies usually conduct easy interviw schedules heard from the seniors that includes some mcq rounds GD and physical summit to the concerned property . I am very glad that i joined this college it was one my dream college to study and learn from

Students mostly becomes eligible to give campus interviews in their 5th semester and there are a lot of companies comes in our college we can its one of the best IHM for placement in whole india . All great hotel properties like marriot , hilton , ITC , Taj , oberios are constantly recruiting students from college in a daily basis they placement percentage here is almost 100%, the highest package provided by sales company this year is around 8lakhs per anuum for a HR role whoch is significantly great and for within the hotel industry it varies from 25k-30k per month which is not bad as rewards come after some years of experience, I personally want to get into oberio OCLD programs and want to train myself to be in a manegerial position soon and start my own business.

The tution fee has increased interm of previous where it was around 3.5 lakhs to now which is around 5 lakhs such a hike in goverment college is really injustifiable . Though it can be understood as we are living ij a metropolitan city like mumbai all rates here are high except the public transport .the hostel fees is also high which is around 65k per sem and there sever miscellaneous charges allways going around , there is a scope for scholarship for SC category students which i have filled though that has not yet been accepted but its showcases that you will recive a Bemofts of almost around 50% of the course fees whose marks are above 75 percent this is a great initiative by the goverment

The college is full of enjoyment where study works less then fun, there typically one event every month , as being from the social media team in college i am always engaged in taking photos in the college events like cornocoupia , extravanga day,farewells ganpati,celeberation Though the facility for sporting ground is not there there is very less scope for the students to play and have fun . The college library is not great it very small and it only consists of book realated to management and general requirements for students considering the materials required for them like journals notebooks etc. The classroom is well equipped with projectors.

Hostel rooms are very small and in 70 sqaurefeet rooms 3 people are staying which is very conjusted and its very difficult for us to stay during though i left hostel after sem 1 as do no to allow you to bring a water heater or induction in your room , though the food in IHM are great they give good non veg and veg menus for students and they change it every week and its making done by some great chefs . Registration for hostel is pretty easy and you need to have a local gaurdian near by and complete some forms to get admitted and to maintain your hostel you need to have attendance over 85% which is a huge criteria though at night the locality gets very cooled as the college Is near by the sea

The admission process was quite simple as i was aspiring for engineering which was much more difficult , you just need to get around or below 3000 rank if you belong to SC category to get selected in IHM mumbai in first round , the nchm form can be found in NCHM website and it barely takes 5 minutes to fill up the form . The exam is typically around 3 hours and the best scoring part is english , logical deduction and maths if you wanna get a good this are the areas you should focus more and you can be preapred within a months time after your 12th baords , as perosnally i feel the admision is very simplified by our college and it only took 30 mintues in a single visit to college and voola you are admitted.

The faculty to student ratio is very less as students are so much more they hardly care about about the the people who are listening or not even at times students not getting a place to sit in benches but the teachers try their best to coordinate with students so that we recive good quality education. The class is further divided in 2 parts having 2 menotrs each and they ar constantly trying to impart the students and making the class strength good so that the batch excels and their reputations is increased. Interaction between teachers and student is very less as the student is more and faculty is less , though if one eants to clear any douts the faculty really takes innitiavtive to help them
