The curriculum has changed a lot after the replacement of IGNOU to JNU. The curriculum has been shifted more to managerial. This has led to introduction of new subjects such employability skills. The curriculum tries to directly connect us with the real world applications .The curriculum is needs a little improvement as it teaches us the more diversely for eg communicative English which is meant to be spoken English enhancement,instead they are teaching us the theory which are needed to be gulp up the whole information.

Everyone who is in 2nd year have to go for internship for 4 months or 17 weeks, 2nd year batch is divided into two parts summer batch and winter batch summer batch goes in the third semester and the winter batch goes for internship in 4th semester.All the top hotels come for the internship recruitments for all the four core departments.

The campus placement generally starts from 5th semester. The big hotel chains and different companies take part in campus recruitment (for eg ,ihcl,Oberoi's ,ITC ,the park etc ).The college doesn't guarantee 100%placement but from past it has fetched 90-95% placements . The average package is of around 3.5 lpa and the highest package was of 6.7lpa . After the degree I want to work with great hotel chains or esteemed stand alone restaurants as a chef.

The fees of the college is affordable in comparison to other. Private colleges or college with good brand image .The fees got hiked after the introduction of JNU from around 60000 per semester to around 65000 per semester for first year . The hike in the fees is gradual which is around 70000 in second year / per semester and 75000 in third year /per semester. The complete cost of education is arround 4.5 to 5 lakh.

College celebrates all the regional and main festivals like Diwali Holi Onam it also celebrates early freshers party and farewells for all the upcoming matches and the outgoing batches the college also have a library which grangers from Parvinder Bali the esteem authors to fictional and non fictional novels .The college classrooms some of them are fully air conditioned some of them have normal fans also the classes have the projectors. The hostel rooms are very spacious and cleaning is done on regular intervals the hostel bathrooms and washrooms are quite a concerne but still they are bearable. There is a water cooler on each and every floor ,the hostel also have a gym.The room is comprised of a cupboard for each and every person living in it with a study table and chair and lamp holders they are two categories in which one is double sharing and other triple sharing on each and every floor some of them are sea facing and other ones are normal. The mess food is of good quality with a cyclic menu. Anyone who is studying or doing degree courses in Ihm Mumbai can opt for the hostel ,the criteria for hostel is generally on the basis of ranks for the newcomers for the admission one need to fill the hostel form and the undertaking and one need to have a local guardian in Mumbai or nearby city like Thane or Navi Mumbai.The locality near by the college is very good so the Pgs accommodation are good and are affordable.

The eligibility criteria for the admission is he individual need to score above 50% in the 12th. The interested inmates can fill the form from nchmct official site which have a application fee of 1000. The application generally closes around 31 March and opens around mid to end of February. One must need to score a good rank at least around 1000 if he or she is from general category for the admission in the college. The admission process is not very complex and but there is always room for some improvement as the nchm takes a lot of time in releasing the seat allotment rounds. The exam difficulty is moderate and any person who have a little basic knowledge about the industry and have good common sense can easily crack the exam.

The faculty to student ratio is quite high but it doesn't create any difference in the learning experience as their efficiency is up to the mark which doesn't make us feel unnoticed. The faculty is also approachable and support us whenever it is needed . The whole batch is divided into five groups and all the groups have two mentors which really help us in geeting much more exposure to the upcoming events.
