Upes is well regarded university with strong focus on energy, petroleum and engineering fileds especially Computer science
Located in Dehradun within this beautiful environment . the university offers a suburban campus environment
Campus life is also good. There are alot of places to visit and a good weather/environment.

Dislikes

In campus hostel the quality of food is worst. although you can have hostel/pgs outside the campus that are way better.
Teachers are not that experienced althought they have knowledge.
Being a private university UPES have high fees

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is well structured and made with the help of leading tech companies like IBM and Zebia. It has seperate subjects for soft skills and real world problems / applications. As for improvements, they can take ideas from their placement records and current market trend to shape their curriculum and offers accordingly. There are 2 exams every semester of varying weightages and I think that is good enough.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 225000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees is 2.4 lakh per semester and I think that is absurdly overpriced for Computer Science students. They provide with scholarship based on merit like 10% for 8.5+ cgpa and no back criteria 2nd year onwards. At the time of admission they provide 10-20% scholarship based on JEE and boards score. They also provide scholarship for home state and girls.

Campus Life

The campus life is fun, the campus is very beautiful and with nice scenery. There have been quite a few events on campus which involved bringing in singers from outside. The library is well structured with books and material present for every course and technology. There are a few sports grounds and indoor sport areas.

Hostel Facilities

Campus Hostel is worst I will nerver recommend anyone to stay inside. just take outside hostel or pg they are way better. food in incampus hostel is worst and you can take only limited. other services like laundary and internet is also worst. Wifi doesnt work and even inside hostel sim network doesnt come.

Hostel Fee: INR 184000 per year

Admission

There is no strict criteria for admission. Admission can be received based on JEE, Board and CUET scores and also on taking their own test. They have the detsils of application available on their site.

Faculty

Faculty members are knowlegeable but some may lack extensive practical experience. However they are highly supportive and actively provide opportunities to suppement your learning beyond the classroom.(from reseach paper opportunities to internship opportunities)

"Overall, a satisfying college experience"

Placement Experience:

In our college students become elegible for placement after 5th and 6th sem . Preplacement drive such as aptitude test , coding session, group discussion may start from 4th sem . I'm not sure wether i take placement from my college or by myself but my goal after completing my degree is to take a repotative job as software engineer.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

Placement Experience:

Placements are good as you all know its IIT. The avg package of all branches is still around 20 LPA . For CS its around 35-40 LPA. And for all other branches its greater than 15 LPA. Im a first year student so i have not seated in placement but there are so many companies that visit iit roorkee for placements, like google,microsoft, ibm, oracle, etc Highest package secured by a student this year is 1.5 crore. Nearly 95 percent of students get placed every year for sure. My plans after degree is to get placed and do my job.

Is it one of the best private college ?

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good here many companies comes at campus every year each year the number of companies increases and the highest package is about 32LPA and students are allowed from 7 semester to enroll in campus placement program 100% placement is assured if u are scoring more than 7.5 CGPA and having no backlogs at all my plans are to get degree and try to get the campus placement if possible

Life around Campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.tech Cse course is good as I see that AI rises quickly in this generation which looks good for future. College must increase lab for more practical exercises in labs for better learning, Timings must ne atleast 2 to 3 hour's for better learning.

Overall good college according to fees

Placement Experience:

After completing second year means 4 th semester the students usually start to do the internship and usually the students from 5-6 semester become eligible for the campus placements , there are various companies that visited here like wipro, microsoft, hdfc , intallipat, etc . I don't know about the number of offers but the highest package offered here was 40 lakhs per annum.

I choose this college because it is a GFTIs college and here the curriculum is good and structured in a right direction . The curriculum prepares us very well about the real - world application based problems and it too good . IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

Placement Experience:

Iit roorkee provide better Placement opportunities than any other college. It has it's placement and intership cell . Gold man Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, graviton and quantbox are the big recruiters which visit my college. Placement are good with average package of 1800000 per annum. If someone don't get on campus then cell helps in getting off campus placement. Enormous amd strong alumini network helps in getting off campus placement.

A big no for placements and a big yes for campus life

Entrance test for the programme is conduted based on the criteria that is above 60% admissions are provided. The professors of the university also conducts interviews before admissions in zoom. After all the process once the student clears the exam and interview admission is provided. I was enrolled in the university in the year 2018 as would say that I definetely wasted my 3 precious years and money offcourse.
