The better you know IHM before you choose

As the cirrculum has changed as per the new JNU syllabus its content has increased interms of IGNOU things that were taught in 2nd year are implemented to 1st year batches making us more knowledgeable for internships, they should focus more on CORE subjects rather than focusing on extracurricular or side subjects , time given during or before are less and they tend to finish the exam in hurry and level of exams are easy as compared to pervious board IGNOU

As i have still in first year so i do know any experince but as i got to know my seniors the stipend offered is around 5000 with accommodation and fooding and after the IT they were required PRESENTATION ALONG WITH APPRISALS RECIVED FROM the HOTEL PROPERTY

From 3rd years Sem 5 students starts taking placement and they get going after the final exams in semester 6 . All great hotels like Taj , Oberio , Marriot , four seasons comes to IHM mumbai for placements and the average package vsaries from 20-25k per month which 2.5 lakhs to 3.00 lakhs per annum .... almost 95% students are placed and the rest 5 percent do not opt for placement ... my plan is to go abroad and do higher studies or Job

The course fees is high as compared to the other IHM and now it has increased more but the facilities provides are less for example kitchen toolkit is now not being provided , food is stopped , they charge for any event that goes on in the college inspite of taking so much fees the complete course is 4.5 - 5.00 lakhs ruppes and scholarship process is too long and its takes a lot of time to be accepeted and anyone can apply belonging to resevation caste system , one of the great opportunities provided by the college is they provide regular ODC opporutunites with stipend that helps the students to gain real life experience.

Almost every month there are some or the other events going on SOME of the main events are CORNOCOUPIA , MISALTOMENIA , GANPATI CELEBRATION , SHIVAJI DAY , ONAM Day . The libirary is well equiped with all the study materials and previous question and class rooms are well equiped with projectors and sound systems but there is very less sporting facilites and no ground to play in the college you can only find a basketball court

Eligibilty to the course is 12th with english as a core subject and admission is done via NCHM JEE and it can be found in the NCHM JEE website the application fee of general and reservstion catogeires differ's ranging from 450-900 RUPPES AND the exam is mostly conducted in the momth of May . I have admissioned on reservation SC category and the cutt off in first round was 600-4000 in IHM mumbai ... the exam conducted by NCHM in very easy and takes less 20 days to get prepared and the admission prcoess in the college is also very simplified as everything is done online

The faculty of this college is great and all experienced teachers and they have great qualifications but the practices followed by the college management such as changing teachers from their dominant departments to other is causing issues during the teaching period
