Management in a glance

There was no reason for me to choose this college and I'm not sure why I did it but it's a really good be here , the cicrriculum is too much extensive after JNU has entered in there is a serious change in the syllabus almost double of the previous batches , but from one side it is good that students are learning more before there Internships rather than learning less

Though i have not yet enrolled in any internships or jobs from the college as i am in 2nd semester and my IT starts from winter batch but the college provides a lot options for ODC and stipend is very good which starts froom 1000-1500 which is a great way for the students to earn money and do their own leaving . Every month the send students to taj and ITC for practical works in banqutes which is very exciting for us to have real life working experinece ,

The placement usually starts from semester 5 and students gets placed finally after their semester 6 where they are required to to pass, properties like taj , oberio ITC , four season and some other great properties come to our college for hiring . As i have seen the interviews going on in our campus they interview process is pretty staright forwards they are required to go through 1- 2 rounds of written points exam and GD do get their placements also the industries do takes a lot of MT from our college the packages offered in our is also great which ranges around 25k-30k in the hotel industry and for people eho opt for outside the industry like marketing or HR gets around 50-40k which is around 5-4 lakhs per annum. My plan is to do MBA after my graduation.

Tuition fees is very high as it's a government colleges they should keep it low but it's sad that it not not every one can afford that cost of living is very high as it is in Mumbai its understandable but they charge for every instances happening in the colleges like fests , sports or anything. The tuition cost ranges around 4.5 lakhs to 5 lakhs per year and the living cost in hostel is around 65k inclusive of food , though the college and other catering companies accept IHM MUMBAIS students more to ODC and we really get good amount from them like if its from college officially we get around 900-1200 for 6 hrs to -8 hrs works where as unoffical we get 1hrs/100-150 rs which is good compared to other states so one can earn some money while being a students and run their own cost of living.

Campus life is very boring as the campus is very small and barely we can do anything there sports activity is done on the parking area which iis very dissapointing . Clubs and groups are just for the show no such thing exists in this college , i know its understandble as we are in mumbai there is a huge shortage for space but there is litteraly 2-3 events going on in the college every month and they celebrate almost all indian events

Hostel facilty in mumbai is not that great as compared to the money they are charging but what else we are going to expect as the space in mumbai is very less for them to accomodate , but the food in the mess of the hotel management is well maintained and they provide a very well cyclic menu and a lot option for vegetarian students. The one of the greatest cons opting for hostel is your attendance which this college is very serious about if your attendance is below 75 then you will be not allowed in any case to take the exam

Admission process was very easy first give the nchm jee than after that the councilling process takes place which is quite easy to get though. The only are where they can improve is that during the selection process they take very long time , my rank was around 800 and got i IHM mumbai in first round through OBC reservation , one can easily prepare for the exam in 15-20 days and score good rank can get top IHMs, the application form can be found in NCHM website and the cost for filling the form ranges from 500-900 depening on caste.
