Likes

Campus life is good. Great way to make new friends. Student Activity Centre (SAC) is always filled with students.
Multiple Restaurants available around the campus.
1 hour away from Mangalore and Manipal Institute of Technology.

Dislikes

Heat and humidity is too much. Constant sweating.
There is nothing available at night nearby if you're staying in hostel

Course Curriculum Overview

B.Tech in VLSI gives us an idea of M.Tech VLSI. TEACHING 10/10 Lots of internship opportunities and academic events. Two Mid Semester examinations(Internal Assesment) MSE 1 after a month or so from commencement of semester. MSE 2 one approximately a month after MSE 1

Class Size: 69Course Fees: INR 160000 per year

Internships Opportunities

1st year students have internship in the form of survey or project. Actual internship depends on where you have applied. You might get stipend of around 5,000 to 15,000. Internships can lead to priority over others during in campus placements.

Placement Experience

7th semester onwards students are eligible for placements. Placement linked in https://www.linkedin.com/in/placement-nmamit-nittedu2022 Many well known companies and new startups. Highest package is 55 Lakhs Per Annum. Plan is to get a good job back in Bangalore.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee for BTech VLSI is INR 1,60,000 without any scholarships through NUCAT. Hostel fees for PG hostel is INR 1,05,000. Scholarship through ranking in NICAT may be 40% of course fees. Not taken part in campus employment. You might earn cash through team sports .

Campus Life

Annual event called INCRIDEA, Dhvani Bhanushali came this time. Football team won in NITK. 1 senior plays national level football. Library books are limited, only study related. INCRIDEA held during February month end. Classrooms are good with projector. Addictions are there among students.(IYKYK)

Hostel Facilities

1/2/3 bed ac, non-ac rooms available. South mess food in pg hostel is trash, North mess is good with inbuilt kitchen but price is a bit more. Registration process for hostel is smooth. Facilities : table, clothes line, fan, window with net, room cleaning once a week.

Hostel Fee: INR 75000 per year

Admission

Admission through NUCAT Entrance exam. 3 rounds of exams. Best of 3. Jee cet level questions. No comedk or cet entry. Keep all documents from 10th 12th ready. Domicile certificate migration certificate etcetera.

students can be eligible for placements from 3rd year only, many companies have visited the college like TATA,Accenture and many other.The highest package for this year is about 19 lakhs , average package is about 3 lakhs,talking about the percentage our college has 77% of the college placements, i am planning to pursue higher education after my graduation

Placement Experience:

We enter the placement at the end of 3rd year almost at 4th year(6th to 7th semester). The placement cell organizes various traning program, including mock interviews, group discussions, and communication skills workshops. Past 3 to 4 years more than 10 companies per year offered hiring 100+ students. But over the year the companies have come down and providing les opportunities. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, etc recruite students from this college. The highest package is 25LPA and the average package is around 6LPA. Due to the increase in the rate of admission, the percentage has been decresed. Almost 25 out of 100 students are getting placed in this college. After getting degree, I will try my level best to get placed in campus itself. If not, I am interested more in Competitive exams, I will focus on it.

In first year they have many subjects of all course which are basic and fundamentals of all branches Some are good in real world application They should add more practical stuff then theories We have 1 to 1½ month gap betwen internals and some 10 days gap between 2nd internal and sem difficult level varies every year

Placement Experience:

From the 6th and 7th semester students are eligible gor campus placements. Students are asked to apply for the campus placements from the career development department of the college according to the marks. Some companies visited are like jspider, qspider, Xworkz, kodnest, Infosys, 3 q sutantra, toyota, triveni,idea infinity,edgeverve, eton ,dfm technology, tata elaxi, enventure and many more. And highest package in 8 to 12 LPA. The students are placed according to the companies requiments min 20 students are placed outof 50 students My plan is to get a good, high paying job after completing my graduation.

The Pros and Cons of being a student at MIT Manipal

Placement Experience:

From the7th sem onwards campus placements are put in place for btech students. Many companies such as microsoft, google, BMW, mercedes, accenture and others look for students here. The top 100 of each branch get the highest packages with the average of that being 22lpa for the cce branch. The rest of the students that are placed have an average salary of 14 lpa. Almost all the students are placed with the placement rate being around 90% for my branch. I plan on working for 2 years after getting placed and then pursuing an MBa degree abroad to further my tenure as a valuable asset to whatever company takes me under their wing.
