Likes
- I liked the competition that there js among the students and the thrill that we get while moving from your home to another town and interacting with new people , developing with them and building a better future for yourself
- I liked the variety of clubs that we get to participate in and increase or social skills
- I love that even though there is a lot to do in college you can still chill and relax and not let any of it affect you in any matter
Dislikes
- There is not much that I disliked about coep but there ar some issues, such as the faculty, irrelevant subjects and much more
- There were a lot of subjects that were taught to us that weren't a part of our stream and still we had to learn it for cgpa
- Some of the faculty is extremely efficient with their teaching skills while some of them lack even the basic ability make people understand stuff that they themselves have learnt
Course Curriculum Overview
For the first year our curriculum was a mix of all the stuff that we have learnt uptil now and just a little deeper, but according to the nep , there have been sugnificant changes in the system and everyone has been taught their course specific subjects and thus the relevance is much higher. I'd say the exams are too close by each other , cause there is exactly a months gap between all the exams .
Internships Opportunities
We are eligible for internships only if we have cgpa over a certain mark , which is around 8-7.5 and this bugs me a lot because deserving candidates do not get a chance to sut for the internship rounds . Other than that I haven't yet appeared for any of the internship program and don't know what the eaxvt procedure is.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from the third year itself . There is a lot of competition among students for getting proper placements. Internships are offered in the starting of the 6th semester . The most famous company that visited is de Shaw, which gives the highest package in coep.almost 100 percent placement is seen in coep. I'd prefer to get placed in a decent company and continue there .
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is very different for everyone because of castes. In general category, the college takes a lot of tution fees and development fees, but for the students in caste category don't get as much as fees as us, and further there are a lot of scholarships. Internships began in 3 Rd year
Campus Life
Coep is vividly known for its clubs as there are almost 30 clubs or more , being social in coep is not a problem since you find people from all backgrounds and thus everyone gets to interact with people from all aspects of life . There are sports gest which inculcate the spirit of sports among the students . There is an official satellite club that has the revord of world's most smalles satellite launcher in space
Admission
I got admission through jee marks. I scored 98.8 as my final percentile and in coep the admission process was good , but we had to submit cash as fees which was a little frustrating . For my course through cet you need almost 99.8 if you're a general category student , but it goes a little lower for other castes. Application begins through the ofricial cet portal and when our percentile is above the cutoff we have to go to the college and give th fees and confirm admission. I didn't avail any reservation. We ahve exams every month. Due to the COVID pandemic we had more frequent exams .if you want your admission to be confirmed you have to study no matter which catsr you are
