- KTU University. The syllabus for BArch doesnt provide much exposure
Course Curriculum Overview
CET follows KTU University. The syllabus for BArch under KTU is a failure. But CET covers it through the department activities anfmd it's exposure to even international levels.Faculties are all very highly qualified and we could learn many things from then. They are all very approachable. 2 Semester per year is followed. Hence 2 end semester exams each year.
Internships Opportunities
In BArch 7th semester is practical training we're you have to undergo internship. We can apply for wide range of companies nationally and internationally. Stipend depends on each company. My internship at Prasanth & Associates Architects, Calicut was a very good experience. I had worked on many government and private owned projects
Placement Experience
From 3rd year placements are provided for BTech students. For BArch it's 4th Yr onwards. Some companies include Google, Microsoft, L & T etc. Average package 25lkh per annum.Highest is 45 lkh. Around 98% students gets placed. There are spacial placement cells within campus. I'm planning to pursue my masters after degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Very affordable fees as it is a government college. It costs around a maximum of 20000/- per year. Complete course can be around 40000/- per year which further includes hostel fees, stationery requirements, site visits, college tech and cultural fests, etc. There are many scholarships available and u will also get guidance from the scholarship helpdesk cell of the campus. College provides many opportunities for u to undertake responsibilities. There are many clubs and startups from college. Even internships with better stipends are also provided
Campus Life
Disha the freshers fest inter dept wise, Drishti the tech fest & Dhwani the cultural fest are the 3D's of CET. These are South Indias biggest fests. Involves many workshops and pro shows. Like the Sophia robot, Armaan Maalik Monali Thakur's Pro shows etc where held during these fest. The campus also hosts many other program every time. Camus has a biggest library collection which I'd accessible till 9pm evey working days.Classrooms are well advanced and ventilated providing a very good atmosphere to learn.About sports..the college represents many international and national level sports. The college even has a physical education department. The clubs and startups run by students are a great success as I mentioned above. Overall the campus life is awesome
Hostel Facilities
College Haa it's won hostel facilities both for ladies and men.Lh and mh. In Lh( ladies hostel) rooms are very spacious with a bed tabe chair and a cupboard. 4 in one room. Toilets are common in each floor. There are cleaning staffs to clean the common areas. The mess is run by student union hence the menu and food is very nice. The menu is not boring as we usually see at hostel. The hostel admission is based on KEAM rank and reservation accoding togovernment rules. Totally a fair procedure. The fees are really affordable. It ranges from 2000 to 4000 rs per month including stay and food. Near to campus there are many private hostels and pg's. So u won't find it difficult to find one.
Admission
The intake for B.Arch courses are according to KEAM rank published based on NATA and 12th marks. The cutoff rank was 30 in general category. For admission u have to opt for the college through KEAM website ammeter publishment of rank. CET ranked with top 4 colleges in India. The admission process is not a big concern if sticked upon to KEAM website.
