Course Curriculum Overview
The main reason that I chose this course was that this course offers more practical knowledge than theoretical. The curriculum prepare us to work even under a tight schedule efficiently. The improvement that I wish to see in the curriculum is updating it more often that everyone gets the opportunity to understand the latest technological advancements. The exam are conducted semester wise where each semester is approximately six months.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities are also very nice, each student have the freedom to choose the ones that they are interested in. Events like summer expos and other events are conducted to improve internship opportunities for the students.
Placement Experience
Students staring from the 5th semester are eligible for placement. . The placements ofb GEC is co ordinated by the placement cell of the college. . The placement cell is very efficient. The number of placement offers varies from department to department.
Fees and Financial Aid
As GEC is a government college the fee structure is in such a way that everyone can afford the education. The fee of each semester varies between 8000 and 1200 where Hostel fees are not included. Scholarship are also available, which each student if eligible can apply for.
Campus Life
The main fest of GEC is Dhyuthi . And other technical and non technical events are also present , the TMS is a motor show that is conducted by the Mechanical Engineering students. Each departments are equipped with their own libraries and another common library is also available for the students to access anytime. Each and every class rooms are equipped with projectors, digital and technological equipments that are necessary . Sports and other technical and non technical clubs are also present in GEC
Hostel Facilities
The allocation of Hostels are also based on your grades along with your annual income and the distance between your house and the college . Room are supposed to beoccupied by 3 or 4 students . The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The approximate amount per month will be about 2500 rupees or below ,If you are staying in PG it will cost about 5500 and above depending on various factors.
Admission
The basic eligibility is to qualify KEAM . After which the option submission and allotment takes place according to the rank you secure. the annual fee of my course is between 8000 and 12000 . The entrance exam is conducted once every year by CEE with the 11th and 12th subject as syllabus.
