A tale of Student and GHRCE

From the beginning I was interested in computers and it's hardware also so I selected INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY. We had brilliant faculties and also had opportunity for hands on practice over different software and hardware machines during our curriculum which immensely helped me in improving my skills. There were some faculties which were irrelevant for the particular course which was appointed to them to teach us if that was not there then everything was brilliant. Exam were taken every month and at the last of the semester and difficulty was decent so that every student would have cleared it if they had done some preparation.

During my final year I got an internship in cognizant technologies. My role was a data analyst trainee. I was awarded a stipend of around 12000 Rupees. My project name was COGNITIVE RADIO SENSORS NETWORKS SYSTEMS in that I learned about transfering data using lesser energy.

From 6th sem we can apply for placements there are so many companies like cognizant, Capgemini,TCS, L&T, Accenture, CGI, Detollite, JP Morgan etc. Which offered us placements on the basis of eligibility around 70 percentage of students got there placements on an average. Every MNC could offer 60 to 70 no. of placements. During my year 17lacs was highest package and around 5.5 lacs was a average figure for a package. I am placed in Cognizant Technologies and I am pursuing my job here currently and After some time I will apply for higher studies.

The increase in tuition fees is quite stable not that much but I found it high somewhere since I belong to a lower middle class family. Hike in tuition fees is barely 2 to 5 percentage. I paid total of around 7 lacs for my course of B. TECH. (IT). I was unable to avail scholarships or any financial ad but there were some types of scholarship schemes for the eligible students which have benefited them throughout. I got placement in MNC and my package is 4.5lacs per annum and during my internship I got around 12 thousand Indian Rupees as stipend.

We had a 5 days long annual festival named as Antaragini which consists of 3 days sports activities called Parakram and 2 days technical festival called Technorion. And during these five days there were many activities which made us very adventurous there was a traditional day then celebrity night where every year a different celebrity came to perform in our college during my academic singers like Salmaan Ali, Music MG (Milind Gaba), Darshan Raval came in different years. We had privilege to access all the machines of the college . There is huge library which might have consist of 50000 books of various genres. Overall my college was really good in terms of social activities and sports and extra curriculum activities.

I went to know about this college from my seniors of school. They told me about two colleges and I applied for both the colleges. I applied in this college on the basis of JEE . We can fill the admission form on the college's website. College run it's walk in drive also for admission. The students who are eligible for reservations they have the facilities to avail reservation. Every month we had CLASS ASSESSMENT EXAMINATION (CAE) and TEACHER ASSESSMENT EXAMINATION (TAE). And at the end of the semester we had END SEMESTER EXAMINATION. I found a problem during admission that there is first come first serve for the admission which personally I didn't like at all because I believe that students should get the branch on the basis of their eligibility and their previous academic results.
