Course Curriculum Overview

At the very beginning I dreamed to becomes a software engineer so i gave jee exam which i fif not qualify and after that i gave kiteee and got selected into kiit Yes the curriculum prepares us well to a certain level including many important topics which many top colleges choose Yes, we get enough time to prepare for exam it happens in regular interval.

Class Size: 79Course Fees: INR 198000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is about 198000 here fees donot take a hike unlikely as our batch previously it was 175000 The complete cost of my education would be roughly around 20 to 22 lakhs including mess and hostel charges Yes there are many scholarships available in kiit the most famous one is through kiteee exam where top 100 students gets some amount of scholarships with conditions Campus employment is good in kiit

Campus Life

Yes there are many events that is being organised by kiit the cultural fest the one of the biggest fest in odisha with over 20000 students participating in it Campus life is beautiful in kiit lush green campus and many spots available to spend time with friends

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are good in kiit mess food is also good along with clean and drinkable water There are many types of hostels that kiit provide for example 3 bed ac/nonac with premium and non premium etc

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

For admission into kiit, we have to give a kiteee examination, and to get into kiit, we need a minimum of 60 percentile and for the CSE branch its 70 75 percentile. For kiitee, we must fill the criteria of at least 65% in the boards

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

KIIT is worth your money without any doubt!!!!

Students generally have to give the KIITEE exam (exam registration can be done from the official college website, https://kiit.ac.in). Admission can also be done through management quota or your jee main score (Information regarding that is regularly updated on the official Kiit website. Reservations: 15% of seats are reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST, and 3% for physically challenged students. Suggested changes: Honestly, the admission process is smooth and easy.
