We have more young faculties than aged. Young teachers know the our pulse than any other and they are also very friendly to us
College infrastructure was above my expectation. My college is autonomous college. So that it's very neat and clean than govt. Colleges.
Especially the college vibes with oru friends.Its helps me to feel comfortable and to get out of the matrix.

Dislikes

My college tought me that attendance is more important than studies. There is always classes. Day shocalrs are not getting time to enjoy with friends
No proper hotels near college. Somany food poison cases have reported near my college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I wrote the entrance exam with the aim to get seat in ai in my college. But later I realised that high rank got students are taking cs instead of ai. may because it's a core subject. This changed my decision to take cs. But the teaching curriculum is outdated. We have go to pre work intership after our course for getting better placement.also the frequently conducting series exams are really stressful.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got admission in my college via merit seat but I have to pay 9600 rs. per year as tution fee. For getting management quota, the fee will be around 10 lakh.It changes according to the branch.fimancial aid like e grantz are available for students from lower income family.im currently studying in 2 nd sem.the campus interviews are starting from 7 th sem only.Til now I have attended workshops and career programs of IEE, MUN etc

Campus Life

Rather than studies, im experiencing good vibes along with my homies Our college is nowadays notatall focusing on cultural programs as compared with before.Now there are only 2 programs in a year. One tech fest called thalshak and an art fest, sanskriti. Our college has a huge library with 3 floors.There are somany clubs for education,sports as well as culture provided by our college .There is no politics or political parties here.

Admission

I got admission in my college by appearing KEAM exam.I got 2896 rank in the exam . Above that I got admission in reservation category (viswakarma).There are alot of students studying here with reservation benifits.An st-sc category student will easily dmget admission whereas it's a little bit difficult to get in to the sam college for a general category student with same Mark.The entrance exam was occured in June 2023.But the admission process started after 2 months due to delay in allotment processes.This made our first sem too hury.

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Navigating MACE: A student's journer Through Campus Life, Academics and Oppurtunities.

I chose this college over other colleges primarily for its autonomous status. This allows MACE to have more current and industry relevent curiculum unlike colleges with fixed university syllabus. Admission to MACE was based on keam rank. Although I had a good rank, it wasnt high enough to get my preferred branch in NIT calicut or CET. I chose this college considering the distance from my home. Good facilities and the environment of the college. This college supports extracurricular activities.
