Remarks

Course stucture is very good, but its implementation is poor, so if the same course can be well managed then IIITA would grow even bigger than what it is now.

Entrance Preview

this college has the coding culture, it is one of the best IT institutes in India. The students of IIITA have participated in world competitions and also they have done better than iits like Mumbai and delhi. In 2016 one team was selected to represent India in ACM ICPC world finals. so when it comes to coding and IT stuff then IIITA is excellent in it.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course curriculum is very good. It is highly based on the requirements of the industry. Apart from this the students can ask for a specific course. For the first year there is no architecture, chemical or other types of subject like they have in iits, IIITA from the very first year focuses on the real course for which the student has applied, hence IIITA is 1 year ahead of other institutes.

Internships Opportunities

Not aware of that, though there is summer camp here and there. Internship is not there but research fellowships programs are there every summer, lots of students from good colleges come to IIITA and work under the professors to work on some research. Not aware of stipend.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement is the best thing in IIITA. It has best placements after IIITH in IIITs. last year 100% placement was achieved, companies like Amazon, flipkart, google, microsoft, DE SHAW, qualcommn to name a few visited the campus. Apart from full time placements IIITA allows its students to spend the last semester in the industry in order to have a broader look at the current needs. So almost all the compnies are allowed to hire for 6 months internships.

College Events

2.5

1) Effervesence( Cultural fest held in october every year) 2) Asmita (Sports Fest held in february every year) 3) Aparoksha (Technical Fest held in march) Apart from these big events there will be small small events going on all the time, in fact it's super fun in first year because lots of events take place.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is normal, every semester the fee is around 50k, so it's neither very expensive nor very cheap. the SC/ST student's fee is exempted to about 15k, so they have not to worry anything. Apart from the fee one has to pay the additional amount for exam fee, library fee, gymkhana fee, medical fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

the Institute doesn't really provide any scholarship facilities but it do brings lots of notifications about all the scholarship opportunities to help the students.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus is small but beautiful, it has got lush green environments, and it's very clean and well maintained. IIITA has all major sports facilities having cricket and football ground, Indoor games facility, swimming, squash, basketball and many more. Gender ratio is not that good, very few girls are there. though people from all the parts of the country come to study in IIITA, but mostly there are Telugu people and north Indians from UP, Bihar, Mp.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

Hostels are neat and clean with all the facilities : 1) it has free wifi 2) it has washing machine, there is one washing machine per every 50 students. 3) ther is water cooler on all the floors 4) sports room 5)gym Mess is pathetic, can't find any other word.

Alumni/Alumna

Our allumni network in not that strong , well its understandable considering that IIITA is a new college. But its improving now, there are lots of IIITA passouts at big postitions in various companies and they are very helpful during placements and all.

Admission

. I cleared the JEE Mains Exam. . According to my rank i was given preferences to select the college, so i chose IIITA for which my rank was enough to take admission. . Through the coucelling of the JEE authorities and filling of the admission form in the nearest central institute and paying the required fee i was given admission in IIITA.

Faculty

1.5

The IT department faculties are highly skilled and knowledgable, but ECE department faculty is not so good. Only few are there who know their subject well but most often they are lazy and not interested in teaching. The IT department faculties are good but still there are lots of compatitions and jealousy going on among the faculties. In ECE department there are some faculties who have not completed their Phd.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite comprehensive and relevant to current industry and academic standards. The inclusion of practical modules and case studies attracted me as it provides hands-on experience. Teaching methods could be made more engaging through the use of interactive technology or blended learning approaches.

Placement Experience:

Till six semester students become eligible to sit for placement recruitments. As placement rate is low so most of the students prefer to persue pg after qualifying GATE or CAT. Many companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro etc. Visits the campus for Recruitment but placement is totally based on the skills and knowledge of the students. Campus provides very calm and clean environment and ample time to involve yourself in any exam preparation. No one is their to hamper your studies. Library is available 24×7 and one could utilize it very judiciously. Highest package reached in my course is approx 10 lakhs and Avg. Package is of 6.75 lakhs offered by the Company. Approx 5 to 10% students are placed Based on their skills. My plan is to preapare for UPSC simultaneously along with my btech

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty was not bad but sometimes they will not attend the class due to this student not being interested to attend the classes. Also, this college removes the b.tech course from the next session may be. though the faculty taught really well. It takes only pharak courses.
