The atmosphere of the college considering its location
The offer of technical skills in wide range and conducting of tech shows, TedX.
The canteen food is good and function in a smooth and clean manner

Dislikes

The distance of the college from my hostel is too long
The duration of class is approximately 7hrs which is normal for all engineering courses
The limit to just have 2 bigger event compared to all other events happening in the college

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum offers a vast range of technical knowledge. Rather than just depending upon the syllabus, the students of the college conduct various tech programs to improve our technical skill. It helps us to understand the what the job market demands and cater to its needs. Some of the areas to improve is the time constraints for a semester to complete. A semester consists of 2 series examinations for 50 marks , a semester exam for 100 marks and various assignments and workshops .

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 28000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The campus fee breakdown is like 8500 rupees for tution fee and 18650 rupees as management fee. The complete course will go between 28000-30000 a year. Apart from that there are various scholarships such as egrantz. The campus often promotes scholarship details.

Campus Life

The college has just 2 events- Takshak and Sanskriti, which is the biggest event in the college run by students itself wherein Takshak is a tech fest and Sanskriti is an arts fest. Takshak is held in odd semester and Sanskriti is held in even semester. There are 2 libraries in the college which offers a wide range of technical education. The class is proper ventilated and technically on mark with fast computers and good workshop labs. The college often conduts both sports and game activities select students who participate in state and national level competitions. There are moreover many student run groups like NSS UNIT, ASME,IEEE.

Admission

To be eligible for the course, first you are supposed to crack KEAM Entrance Examination. The application of KEAM will be available through CEE portal . It is a Kerala Government examination which include engineering courses. This includes reservation of OBC, EZHAVA and various communities. The exam is conducted once in an year and the difficulty level is moderate. To get admitted to this college for cse one must achieve a rank above 2500 in KEAM examination. However , the system is yet to improve in allotment criteria which takes more time and the whole process is so slow.

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

From 6th semester onwards students are eligible for internship and placement opportunities. Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The length of course curriculum is very short. It is very difficult for both students and teachers to complete the syllabus in limited time period.The exam timing are also very conjusted and students are facing many difficulties because of it .

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Navigating MACE: A student's journer Through Campus Life, Academics and Oppurtunities.

I chose this college over other colleges primarily for its autonomous status. This allows MACE to have more current and industry relevent curiculum unlike colleges with fixed university syllabus. Admission to MACE was based on keam rank. Although I had a good rank, it wasnt high enough to get my preferred branch in NIT calicut or CET. One of the best government aided college

I chose this college considering the distance from my home. Good facilities and the environment of the college. This college supports extracurricular activities.
