Remarks

The admission process for engineering in Kerala typically involves entrance exams, primarily the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations and i had qualified it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The strong focus on core engineering subjects like Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science influenced my decision. These foundational courses are essential for understanding engineering principles and theories.Guest lectures, industrial visits, and workshops helped bridge the gap between academia and industry, preparing students for professional challenges.Exams were challenging, especially with the vast syllabus. However, regular assessments, quizzes, and mid-term exams helped in continuous evaluation and learning

Placement Experience

4.5

In my college, students became eligible for campus placements from the seventh semester of their engineering program. This allowed students to have completed the core subjects and gain sufficient technical knowledge.Several renowned companies from various sectors visited our campus for recruitment. Some of the notable ones were Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, IBM.The highest package offered during our placements was around INR 20 lakhs per annum. This offer was made by a multinational IT company for a software development role. The placement percentage in our college was quite good, with around 80% to 85% of eligible students securing job offers during campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

At the engineering college I attended, the tuition fee increase policy was generally reviewed annually. The rate of increase varied each year, but it was typically in the range of 5% to 10%.The annual tuition fees were approximately INR 80,000. This covered the cost of academic instruction and access to university facilities.

Campus Life

4.5

The technical festival, known as "TechFest," usually took place in the month of October. It focused on showcasing student projects, hosting tech talks, hackathons, robotics competitions, and workshops on emerging technologies. The college library housed an extensive collection of books related to engineering, science, technology, and allied fields. It included textbooks, reference materials, research papers, and journals. The classrooms were equipped with modern teaching aids such as projectors, smart boards, and audio-visual systems. This facilitated interactive learning experiences and multimedia presentations.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel offered both single and shared rooms. I opted for a shared room to save costs and have a roommate for company. The hostel had a mess facility that provided three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The registration process for the hostel involved submitting an application form provided by the college hostel administration.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
