Likes

College campus is very big and beautiful
Campus Life is not as expected as you think you would get in a government college but is reasonable
Placement is not as expected and is not as advertised

Dislikes

Campus hostel and private hostel are very bad and food is very poor
Management does not provide any fund and support for fests
College Campus faculty are very strict already and would become more strict if it becomes autonomous

Course Curriculum Overview

I study mechanical engineering, and the relevance of the subject is arguable as the rise of AI is around the corner. But the subject is very interesting as much as it is hard. I would advise you to only take mechanical engineering if you have a genuine interest in the area or else you would feel bored and won't be able to score much.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees would be around 15 k including exam fees, fest fees etc. Various scholarships and grants by the government and other organisations. College faculty is really helpful in setting up scholarships.

Campus Life

Mace provides various campuses and clubs for its students like ASME, SAE, and IEEE. These clubs perform at an international level and secure various prizes. Tech fest is called takshak and the art fest is called Sanskriti. I have attended takshak only and have to attend Sanskriti which is next month. Takshak was an overall good event and the shows were good. Telei was the auto show conducted in the takshak.

Admission

I got admission into Mace through keam exam which is the Kerala entrance examination and is responsible for most engineering college admissions in Kerala. The keam exam is conducted every year. I didn't have any reservations and I got mechanical engineering in mace. My rank was around 18k.

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

My honest review of ICET

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

nehru has implemented placement traninng from the start of the course itself, from first year itself we get to placement classes which made us adapt and get to know how interviews are conducted. from 4th year onwards i think students are eligible for placements and more than 75% of students gets placed every year

Navigating MACE: A student's journer Through Campus Life, Academics and Oppurtunities.

I chose this college over other colleges primarily for its autonomous status. This allows MACE to have more current and industry relevent curiculum unlike colleges with fixed university syllabus. Admission to MACE was based on keam rank. Although I had a good rank, it wasnt high enough to get my preferred branch in NIT calicut or CET.
