Campus is very big. I like it . There are lots of tree which makes the campus more beautiful.
Teaching system is very good. They take classes regularly.
Professors are very good. They are very friendly with students.

Dislikes

The buildings are should be renewed as these were build in 70 years before
Wifi facility is not available in the college.
Play ground condition is not good. College authorithy should mind.

Course Curriculum Overview

As everyone knows medical profession is the one of the best profession in the world through which one can change the world. So i choosed this course. After completing this course i can go for various research in medical field later. Here in medical college exams are taken regularly.

Internships Opportunities

After completion of course there is one year internship in the same college. Stipends given during internship is very low. The government should increase the amount of stipends. We have to work 24 hours during internship but the amount of stipend is very low.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees is moderate in medical colleges of Assam. The total cost of the course is around 45000 excluding hostel fees and other such books cost etc. There many scholarships are available for med students under NSP including ishan udai etc. Stipends are given during internship but the amount is very low

Campus Life

The campus of our college is very ecofriendly. Our campus is very large . There are sports facilities ,every year college week is organised by student union body. There is a library from where we can borrow a books we can study there.

Hostel Facilities

Our hostel is newly constructed so there lots of facilities are available. The meal quality is not so bad but they should improve the menu. They should change the menu every month. To avail the hostel facility registration process is very easy.

Hostel Fee: INR 4500 per year

Admission

Eligibility for the course was 12th pass. I have appeared for NEET exam through which medocal selection is done. The duration of exam was 3 hours. After NEET result the counseling process was done thorugh completely online on the other hand the admission process was done through offline mode. The admission form was provided by the college. I am a ST(p) students so my cut off was slightly lower than the other caste.

Interview Experience

I prepare myself for NEET examination to get admission into medical college. The syllabus for this exam was whatever i had read in class 11 and 12. I took coaching two years for this examination. To appear in this examination the student should be minimum 12th passed.

Likes

Our college has the state of the art infrastructure with a hudge patient load and exposure
A competitive and yet very healthy academics
Situated in the best location on the hilltop at the heart of the city

Dislikes

Proper facilities for spirts activities are yet to be done
A good campus life is what a gmcian would always long for
Proper canteen with a better menu and affordability

Placement Experience:

There is always 100% placements in govt medical colleges right from getting into internship, state rural service and then opportunities knocks the door of going for service or into post graduation in any dept.

Feel The college

Likes

The efforts of faculties is appreciable.
The laboratory equipments are enough as required.
The books that teachers follow is standard.

Dislikes

200 students for 1 lecture hall is not good.
The microscopes are quite old so few if them doesn't work.
The fees for manuals is high then needed.

Course curriculum is Really tough...its really hard to complete this vast syllabus in a year that is anatomy of whole body, biochemistry whole reactions and physiology whole processes that is physiological in nature.

Life at AMCH

Likes

The exposure is really good, the daily input of patients is large
The campus is big and it is bigger than most medical colleges.
It is one of the oldest medical college of the county and the oldest medical college of the whole northeast India.

Dislikes

It is located in upper Assam so connectivity becomes an issue for AIQ students
The classroom could have be bigger than the actual size

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is not at all easy like all the other courses but since this course deals with life and death situations I would say the practical applications introduction has lead to a better side of this course. This course is completedly real world based curriculum. The faculty members are well equipped to everything they teach and the methods currently focus on application based studies. This course has many exams each month and therefore the student has to study properly.

Likes

Patient flow is good so there is lots to learn and they are very friendly if u talk to them nicely
Teachers are expirienced and always eager to teach

Dislikes

If are a person who loves to enjoy fests and gatherings it is not for u . I think u can only enjoy if u know the local artists of assam
Attendence is quite a big issue here most the dept are super strict and they will not arrange extra classes for u to makeup your attendance

After every posting there will be assessments which is usually taken bedside and classes in posting are also taken bedside so the exposure is quite good . Especially derma dept they explain the cases very nicely

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always wanted to be a doctor so that I could cure people and help them to get rid of various diseases. The faculty: student ratio is approx 1:4 The faculty are highly qualified with MBBS, MD, MS, DM, March, and various other degrees done by them. The teaching process includes lectures in the classroom with the help of smart slides. Almost every month there are exams but there are internals every 3 months and finally the finals. Medical study is one of the toughest courses to pass as we need to know about a lot of different things all at once

I got this college randomly through the All India Quota during my NEET 2022 mop up round Counselling. I applied for most of the Government Colleges in INDIA according to my fees budget. Life at AMCH

This college is - 1) Oldest medical college of the state 2) The best campus 3) Higly reputed doctors passed from here 4) Brilliant extra curricular activities 5) Good sports culture I didn't get rejection from other colleges but yeah some do prefer GMCH over AMCH for a reason - GMCH is situated at a more easily accessible location and the city is highly developed. Institute of Pharmacy, Assam Median College.

I got admission in some private universities like Kaziranga university, Assam down town University etc. But I applied for this college as it is a government institute which means the fee structure was quite affordable and relevant also since I got admission by cracking the CEE entrance exam for Dpharm. I did apply for Dibrugarh University in bpharm course but as my 12th percentage was only 86%, I didn't get the seat. The admission is through the CEE entrance exam for Dpharm which consists of 150 marks. Biology/ maths- 50 Chemistry - 50 Physics - 50 The cut offs are different for different castes but a minimum of 80 is required to sure the seat.
