Campus Life is quite nice with ragging free campus. Campus are very clean and well maintained too.
Placement rate is quite nice with the average package around 8.22 LPA
Events are held quite often resulting in more exposure to real world problems

Dislikes

Too much students make it crowded and a rat race kind of effect offurs

Course Curriculum Overview

1st year was not at all productive in skill development from the course. The course is kind of okay if you check about today's IT sector. For real world application I would say outside of course is more to explore and academic value matters as much as your skills.

Internships Opportunities

Companies like Delloote, PWC, Dell, High Radius, TCS often take maximum number of students for internships. Paid internships are handsomly paid. Software development inters, marketing and sales inters, HR interns, Research inters, Finance and Accounting inters are the roles students get quite often.

Placement Experience

Campus place is quite high in kiit, with the average back 8.22 LPA. Highest package was 63 LPA. TCS, High Radius, Bosch like company often recruit student from here. Around 80-90% students get placed . My plans are to gain experience as an software engineer in the field.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is expensive especially if you consider for 4 years. Around 2.25 lakhs per semester is the fee for tuition, hostel(28k) and mesh(22k). Scholarship is provided to those who secured the rank of top 1000 in the kiit entrance exam, as well as first three ranks in the semester.

Campus Life

KIIT is where could enjoy your college life to the fullest. We have every event celebrated here. The biggest event of Kiit is its kiitfest which is held in every February. There are many societies where insterested students can join and take part in the activities. Overall it helps in develop social and interactive skills

Hostel Facilities

Room is well equipped with light, fans, furniture etc. Hostel maintanence is done everyday like cleaning and insect repellent spray are done weekly. Hostel service is quite nice in the hostel where I live the problems are resolved quickly. Hostels affordability is quite varied if you want premium rooms it will cost way much more

Hostel Fee: INR 56000 per year

Admission

Pcm should be 60 or above. Anything related to the admission is available in their official website. The form was only at the time I enrolled. Exams were of 5 phases in 2022 which was moderate in difficulty. The online invigilation could be stricter

Placement Experience:

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

NOT AN IDEAL COLLEGE BUT DEFINITELY DESCENT

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

KIIT is worth your money without any doubt!!!!

Students generally have to give the KIITEE exam (exam registration can be done from the official college website, https://kiit.ac.in). Admission can also be done through management quota or your jee main score (Information regarding that is regularly updated on the official Kiit website. Reservations: 15% of seats are reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST, and 3% for physically challenged students. Suggested changes: Honestly, the admission process is smooth and easy.
