What Students Say

Likes

Common room for girls and boys separate.
Tea stall and food stalls opposite of the campus
Canteen food is also very good and specious

Dislikes

The overall infrastructure is not upto the mark in exchange of the amount of money I am paying
No proper sports facilities and playgrounds
They don't maintain and clean the existing infrastructure

Course Curriculum Overview

I have taken ECE because of it's different career opportunities that I can opt in the near future. MSIT is under the university MAKAUT which is a pretty average institution when it comes to reputation. We have two semesters and four CA's in a year but they don't even think before they announce the dates. I think they should publish a proper curriculum where the year is pre planned so that it can be executed properly.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 625000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees for 2023-24 admission students is 6.25 lakhs for 4yrs. It increases once in every 2yrs and for this reason studying in private institutions is not something everyone can afford. The career opportunities is average when it comes to private collages where in my university and in my stream it goes around 3 lakhs on average.

Campus Life

In MSIT the campus is very small with no playground and other sports facilities. The clubs are good but it can be better. The student life is average overall. There are many clubs where anyone can showcase their talents so club wise its overall a 7 out of 10.

Admission

After giving WBJEE exam I have taken admission. Admission process is done completely online in the WBJEE counselling portal. The exam was of all total 200 marks where mathematics contribute 100 marks and other 100 for physics,chemistry combined.

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

placement is very good in this college many tech giants vist the campus such as google microsoft delloite apple tata steels, thhe average package is about 16 lpa highest is 80lpa approx 148 companes visted this year and total offer for cse is 157 out of 190

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

I got this college by counselling as per my WBJEE rank. This was the best college I got according to my rank and was very good.
