Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum offers just the theory knowledge, but that too is crammed in a way that a single semester(6months) was finished within 2 months. The exams were also very unpredictable, making the semesters overlap. It was strictly told that the curriculum doesn't support internships or anything of that sort, blocking anything and everything apart from textbook knowledge away from the students. The exams are quite easy but the evaluation isn't ; even the perfect paper should be sent for revaluation. It's a very poor system that's made to waste the time of students as they cram everything from practicals and theory, leaving no space for real life applications . The course was purely chosen by me out of my interest for the subject, the curriculum only lowered my interest in it.
Placement Experience
The third year students do get placements for an avg amount of 10-15000 or so. The college offers good placements for students according to their courses. As for me, being a Bsc psychology student, I am planning to pursue further studies (post graduation) . About six students from third year last year got placement at Banglore and about ten students from Msc psychology got placements at different places all over India.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fee increases with each semester . For Bsc Psychology, it costs around 21000 while joining and by the sixth semester, it hikes to 25000 and sometimes more. There are scholarships given at the time of admission for students who have scores above 90% for board exams but they can only keep them if they keep up their marks at college. Students who get 8.5+ scpa (sem exams) also gets 5000Rs to their parent's account. There are absolutely no stipends but different clubs that you can be a part of inorder to enhance your skills.
Campus Life
There are so many cultural programs for first years but very few for second and third years. There's a fest yearly conducted by Bcom students, which is by far the biggest and the typical arts day, college day etc. The classrooms are clean and has a projector and greenboard. There's a cricket team and a sports day is conducted every year.
Admission
The admission process was very quick and simple. The application form was provided from the college, it is also available online in the official college website. The eligibility for my course was 60 and above percentage with any stream in 12th. They also gave scholarships to students who had 90 and above percentage. There were no prior entrance exams but there was an interview after completing the admission process which didn't really mattered. A fee of 500 had to be paid along with the application too.
